Seri is a very happy, simple girl. The only thing that bothers her is her marriage to her fiancee, the super-obocchama, Yuzuki! While they both repel each other, Seri happens to notice the strange creatures behind Yuzuki!!
Woooaahh. I think I like the mystery-romance genre of manga. It's really something!
The story goes something like this- Our MC is engaged to this guy who is destined to die young because of a curse laid on his family generations ago. The curse is that every male heir of his family line will die young, the only exception being the females, who live longer and have their husbands take their name after marriage. And so begins the race to find a way for the curse to not take place, with some surprises along the way, ofcourse.
I would give the first three volumes a measly three because they were still in their initial stages of figuring out the curse. We didn't know much, they didn't know much, and so many things kept popping up, making both the MCs and the readers hella confused. In a good way.
But the last two volumes definitely 4.5-5 star worthy and eventually, I loved it so much that it overshadowed the first three volumes. The mystery element was in full swing, crazy shit popping up from NOWHERE AT ALL. It helped that the art was pretty.
Bu seferki seride daha bir paranormal takılıyoruz. Hayalet atalar, ailevî lanetler etrafında dönüyor olaylar. Lanetin kaynağını ve nasıl sonuçlanacağını merakla bekliyorum.

I'll Give You Flowers Anata ni Hana wo Sasagemashou Anata ni Hana wo Sasagemashō あなたに花を捧げましょう _ Japanese 爱如鲜花般盛开 _ Chinese (Love in Bloom) 献爱的花束 _ Chinese (Offering a Love Bouquet)
It was serialized in Petit Comic, by the publisher Shogakukan, from 12/08/2009 to 07/08/2011. The story and artwork is by Tomu Ohmi. . . I found this manga to be very well done. The art work is great and the plot is quite complex, which is rare in manga.
The main female character is Seri Horitaka. She is a student at a university, but still works and can take care of herself. She notices what is happening and can figure things out, unlike so many clueless girls. She refuses to have her life planned for her by her parents. She will only marry if she loves the man.
The main male character is Yuzuki Furumidou. He is a student at a university, and works experimenting with flowers you grow in greenhouses. He truly loves Seri and wants the best for her. . . Chapter 01 _ Super Sad Engagement
Seri is a happy girl from rich family. Seri Horitaka and Yuzuki Furumidou have always been friends. However, she is completely against an arranged marriage to Yuzuki. Their parents arranged it when they were both 10 years old.
Both sets of parents want this marriage. The old well known family with a prestigious name gains the money they need. The rich family gains a well known and prestigious name. They all tell Seri love comes after marriage.
Meanwhile, Seri seems repelled by Yuzuki. Yuzuki takes her to see his family home. He tells her that they will live there, after they marry.
During the visit Seri hears invisible spirits talking about her. She thinks it’s people in the next room. When she confronts them, they threaten her. They even tell her, if she won’t marry Yuzuki, they will lock her in until she dies.
When Yuzuki finds out he admonishes them. Yuzuki reminds Seri of his family’s curse. All the men of that family are cursed to die young.
The spirits turn out to be Yuzuki’s ancestors. They want Seri to marry him too ! Oh yes, and have a baby to carry on the family line, girls preferred as they live longer.
After all of this she tells Yuzuki she can’t imagine kissing him, and you need to to get an heir. He then grabs her and kisses her a few times. When the shock lessens, very embarrassed, she pushes him away. He tells her she is the girl he wants to marry, and has for 12 years. . . Chapter 02 _ The First Premonition is Quiet
Seri has a dream of Yuzuki being killed by a woman, who strangles him to death. She realizes she had the same one as a child, after he told her about the family curse. Right after she figures this out Yuzuki visits Seri’s workplace.
He enters and then loudly announces to everyone that he is her fiancé. An uproar among the workers ensues.
She takes him outside where he surprises her by grabbing her hand and slipping a ring on her left hand, ring finder. He had a ring made for her using jade from the family home’s yard.
She quickly finds out his ancestors can find her by using the jade in the ring as a link to reach her. She tries and tries to remove the ring, but fails.
Seri goes to Yuzuki’s workplace and tries to return the ring. She loudly announces to everyone that she wants the ring removed.
He takes her to the greenhouse where he works with his plants. Finally she succeeds in getting him to remove it, after she confesses to being terrified. When Seri leaves she discovers that the ghosts can find her without the ring.
One ghost reminds Seri of the time when Yuzuki told her about his family’s curse. Further, he reminds her she had Made a promise to him. He tells her that she made a promise to Yuzuki, that things would be OK because she would protect him. Seri didn’t follow through on her promise because she had a scary dream that night. The dream caused her to become terrified of all ghosts, and similar scary things. It also was the cause of her staying away from Yuzuki, leaving him alone and friendless.
Meanwhile, back at the greenhouse, a woman named Aida attacks Yuzuki with a pair of pruning shears. She succeeds in wounding him. Yuzuki gets a really bad cut across the chest. She then places her hands over his throat and demands he give her the jade ring.
At that moment Sari returned to the greenhouse. She screams out "Stop It !!!". A dark shadow leaves the woman. Seri wants to take Yuzuki to the hospital, but he refuses. He wants her to call the family doctor instead. . . Chapter 03 _ My Destiny is Tested
As Sari is holding Yuzuki he awakens to find he is at his family doctor’s office. It turns out he lost a lot of blood, but the damage was only to his muscles.
Sari hears the doctor telling him he was due for another accident. Then she sees a lot of scars on the parts of his body she can see. She realizes he hid a lot of this from his parents, to stop them from worrying.
A ghost thanks her and she panics. The ghost becomes corporeal to make her feel more at ease. She is, until a few seconds later he disappears. It’s too difficult to hold a solid form. Obviously this scars her, again. Yuzuki sees it. He laughs so hard it hurts him.
* Note * The ghost pretty much tells Seri that she will be seeing ghosts for the rest of her life, if she marries Yuzuki *
She admits to him she is a black belt in the martial art of Aikido. She also offers to help him while he’s injured. He turns her down. She insists. He agrees.
As she thinks the day over, she realizes she doesn’t hate him. She wonders, what do I feel ?
Seri calls Yuzuki to tell him she has arrived to pick him up. As he walks out to meet her, he feels faint. When he hears her calling him he heads toward her, only to hear his name shouted, from behind him !
From her viewpoint, she sees him walking deeper into a swamp. She screams his name. Running to reach him she enters the swamp and grabs his arm. A blackness leaves the area of the top of his head.
The ghost, Lord Haruhisa, appears and tells them, Seri was the one that broke the spell on him when she touched him. He also states, "You are his destined bride." . . Chapter 04 _ When Love is Born
Seri now knows she can protect Yuzuki. Yuzuki tells her to ignore the ghost, Lord Haruhisa. She asks Yuzuki, "If I marry you, will you be able to avoid the curse ?
Yuzuki makes it clear he won’t force her to marry him. He also clarifies he does NOT want her to be obligated to him in any way.
By doing this Seri realizes she DOES have special feelings for Yuzuki ! She tells him she cares for him and won’t run away again. Yuzuki takes Seri in his arms, but just as their lips touch someone knocks loudly on the front door. They practically leap apart.
Its the clean clothes being delivered. There is a set for him, he refuses it. He says he will only accept clothes and money from her once they are married. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . * Note * It seems an odd kind of fight. Perhaps it’s a Japanese cultural thing. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Seri thinks this over at work the next day and shivers. A bit later she meets another family ghost, Harumi. He states that, "I was his Great Grandmother’s older brother, or something like that." He was the last male head of the family, prior to Yuzuki.
They talk and she admits that she used to hate Yuzuki. Now that she knows what he thinks, she wants to protect him from his familial curse. She wonders, "Am I… …in love… …with Yuzuki ?" . . Chapter 05 _ Wavering Feelings, Proof of Love
At Seri’s workplace Yuzuki leaves with her. Outside they see a murder of crows * See Note at Bottom * Seri manages to scare all of them away.
When they get to his family home, she isn’t as scared by the ghosts anymore. The ghosts are talking about how the curse is manifesting more strongly. This has never happened before.
Yuzuki takes Seri and shows her his family’s conservatory. It needs repair, but the family can’t afford it. He picks a long stemmed rose for her. She is delighted.
Finally she admits to herself she loves him, but doesn’t think he will believe her if she tells him so. What should she do !? Then, her father rushes in and announces Yuzuki wants to break the engagement.
She finally tracks him down. He does his best to make her leave him. She finally shouts "It’s too late ! I’m in love with you now !".
At the end we see the black outline of a woman glaring at them from an area that has a lot of trees.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . * Note * I want to explain this well, so you can enjoy all the effort the author put it to make the story enjoyable ! I think the author used crows as a large number of them are called a murder, NOT a flock. They have been called a murder since the 15th century. . . Why a murder and not a flock ? Below are 3 answers (out of many).
01) If an strange crow enters the territory of other crows, it is likely to be murdered. ...... This is found in many folk tales. ...... Crows often form tribunals to judge and punish other crows. ...... If the defendant is convicted, the bird is killed (murdered by the flock).
02) Crow murders can make really loud, harsh, raucous sounds (similar to a murderous mob).
03) When crows fly together they fly in a M shaped pattern, the first letter of murder. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
This one was great! We have a story about two childhood friends of a rich but young family without established family name and an old but dying dynasty who are arranged to get married. The FMC (being typical FMC, honestly) is opposed to the idea of marrying without love. Eventually they work out their relationship, but most interesting part is that they are engaged in certain family curse that kills all the male descendants of this old dynasty, and they are solving together with FMC, and tons of ghost ancestors of the family, the mystery of the curse Generally, the plot is great. The drawing style is amazing, I just love this little old school vibe. And the whole manga is not that long, it's only 4 volumes, which is quite short comparing to Midnight Secretary (which is also a great vampire read for autumn!!) from the same mangaka
I love this mangaaaaa! Like Kindan no Koi de Ikou, the love scenes are super sexy! The characters as well. So the story is about a cursed family and the guy finally finding his destined bride. I love how the manga kept me reading and reading for more especially when they are close to finding out the reason for the curse. I'm just lost on some parts but I still like the flow of the story. I think Ohmi Tomu is now one of my favorite manga artists since I'm sure I'll be looking for more of her mangas! I love all the mangas from her that I read so far. And I especially love the ending of this manga. It's so sweet and the peace is just there. More power to you author!
I didn’t really like this, so I probably won’t finish it :/ I found the supernatural stuff to be boring, and I kinda just wanted it to be a full-blown romance, but that’s just my opinion! I’m sure some people will love this blend of supernatural + romance—it’s just not my thing. But the art is so beautiful WOW 🥺🥺🥺
Seri is engaged to her childhood friend Yuzuki. Yuzuki's family is cursed but things take a turn when Seri is involved. They work together to find out why his family is cursed. The search leads them in many unexpected directions.
Overall, it was a pretty good read. There was one instance where I felt that Seri is too forgiving but the manga is over a decade old so it gets more grace.
They were betrothed since they were kids. Hero's family is from nobility but not rich while heroine's family is rich. It's a good match. Heroine and Hero got separated (more of heroine distanced herself when she knew about the Hero's family curse) but the engagement is still on. Heroine and Hero bicker from time to time. Not really enemies but not friends anymore.
Will she come to love him?
PS This is the second series that I read of Tomu Ohmi (first was Midnight Secretary).

I'm just gonna review the whole series(?) in one go.
At first glance the story is a bit of a cliche romance with an initial unrequited love turning to something two sided. However, keep going and you'll find that there is an interesting story driven by the mystery surrounding the characters pasts that keeps you reading.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE another masterpiece done by Ohmi-sensei!!!!!!! Art 10/10 Story 9/10 (the marriage feat is a bit too fast, but not really a big issue, though would love to see if the story before the marriage is longer)
