The author has often been told that he does things the wrong way. For instance, he could walk before he could crawl. His parents were also informed that he went about reading the wrong way. Already reading before kindergarten, he went on to delve into texts about dinosaurs and astronomy by 1st grade as opposed to the regular story books everyone else was reading. At least one school counselor labeled him as "delayed" because of this. Of course, this happened at the same time he was winning the school reading contest.

After years of wanting to, he's finally writing books of his own.

I would like to see these installments a bit longer...

The installments for these chapters are quite short, basically a scene a piece, and are definitely not stand-alone. I was able to get these installments during a free promotion, but I think people who are purchasing might be disappointed (at the time of writing this, the series is at twenty two parts, which will basically cost the reader $22 for an ebook of an average sized novel. This seems a bit pricey to me.)

As far as the actual content of this chapter, there was a bit of intrigue, but I definitely would have liked to see more. I'm curious about Tib and his willful ignorance to the happenings he is observing but not recognizing in his life, and feel for the mother who he is ostracizing.

Without giving away any of the story, part four introduces a new character, the cop, and he doesn't seem to take Tib very seriously. He's an interesting new dynamic to the story, and is written as friendly without being an overly stereotypical police figure. He's a nice, welcome change to the story. As with the rest of the Shadow Spinner series, this is a quick read, and it left me wanting to know more about Tib and more about the police officer's involvement. I'll be looking forward to part 5, and so should you.

I suppose it can get tiresome to keep reading these, especially if someone sees this review without knowing about the previous entries, but dear reader, rest assured, you will not be disappointed if you go back and read from the beginning. Great stuff.

BEWARE this is no ordinary coffee and doughnut flat foot. This is a caring man in blue, but what happens when the patrolman meets up with a bunch of tough shadows? Have to read it to find out. Also look out for the grungy old man in the abandoned house at the bottom of the hill.
