In the midst of a planetary battle for food and fuel, a vast ecological cataclysm spawns THE ENORMOUS, massive beasts unlike anything ever witnessed. Humankind struggles to stave off extinction and the only law is to hunt or be hunted. It's an epic action adventure featuring the survival of the biggest!
A frustrating read. This riveting, sort of Pacific Rim meets Utopia, if they hadn't cancelled it. And the art! The art! Every micro expression beautifully rendered, but...where is more?
This comic book is gigantic & very affordable. It is about giant monsters, and giant monster fans can be hard to shop for, so here's this book.
But it sucks. It's abysmally written. And the sun is so constantly behind every character & angle, that is puts the J J Abrams' lens flare to SHAME.
It took a few rereads to figure out which character had which name. Everyone is the same color & height. And even then, scores of people die while being too simply rendered, under lit, or tiny & in the background to tell who they are.
Basically, I could go page by page through this book, complaining about it. But I'll stop here.
A 64-page comic of "enormous" proportions (11x17) about survivors in a post-apocalyptic earth where genetically modified foods have led to creatures evolving to "enormous" size. Great story, and fabulous art by Medhi Cheggour; I loved it ... enormously!
This gave me a headache. The artwork is stunning, it really didn't deserve to suffer through this bland and confusing plot. It didn't help me connect with any of the characters at all.
So it starts out just as Ellen, our protagonist is on her way to see her ill mother. Then BAM, GIANT MONSTERS EMERGE. Pretty fun read. The art is so beautiful. Definitely worth a shot.
