What would most of us do in this situation? The unthinkable. Circumstances many of us would not wish on our enemy. A teacher walks upon a girl who has been beaten, raped, and left for dead. Suddenly she finds herself the only investigator in a city-wide conspiracy that leads all the way up to city hall. With the help of her best friend, a reporter for the local newspaper, and her quick wits she takes on the hit-men, goons, and a town full of co-conspirators that are willing to bury the truth about an underworld of human trafficking at any cost. She finds herself at the center of a plot that stretches all the way to the public school system. Does Lisa have what it takes to take down an entire chain of corruption? Can she trust the new man in her life who happens to be the detective in charge of the case? As she digs deeper she realizes that there is more to her new home of Orlando than meets the eye.
