Hi all,
My name is Evie Jayne. I'm a 42 year old nomad trying to stay in one place. Helped by two school aged, wild sons, a rather delicate black thoroughbred horse and my writing. Hindered by a wanderlust that has dogged me my whole life.

I live in a hand built hippy paradise in the middle of the bush on the wild west coast of New Zealand. I'm animal mad and have a flock of chooks, 2 goats, one cute and strangely clumsy pup a fat and fluffy Shetland pony and two thoroughbred horses who I cant imagine living without.

2 years ago I joined the Evernight publishing family with the oh so exciting acceptance and release of my first published work, Lunacy and the Vampire.
Scar Tissue, the 2nd book in the Dominion series will be released this month. I know, I know. 2 years between books is just not good enough, but please forgive me. I have lived through the aftermath of a series of city destroying earthquakes, moving from one side of the country to the other and the serious injury and rehabilitation of one of my very much treasured horses. The next one wont take so long, I promise.

I write paranormal romance and urban fantasy. I'm a woman of dreams and mythology and a closet romantic. (Really, my friends would swear I'm not. Little do they know.)

I like lots of things!
Some of those things are;

yams roasted until they melt in my mouth
the smell of horse and hay
my sons laughter
reading until I can't keep my eyes open any longer
dancing barefoot in the sun
intelligent television
hand made ceramic kitchenware
strong black coffee
my friends (strange artistic types and mad horsewomen.)
my family, quirks and all
eclectic curios from all eras and countries

Every myth you ever heard is true. Every monster exists.

Luna Sea Rakshasa inhabits The Dominion, a realm of immortals hidden within the world of humans. She is a Beanne Sidhe huntress, a killer of dark and dangerous things, but she harbors a secret that has been tearing her apart for nearly a thousand years. On the cusp of finally facing the demon vampire who sired her, the last thing she needs is an obsessed vampire who stirs things she would rather not feel.

Aveon Ap Conwy was human before he was found, dying on a battlefield, and turned into a vampire. For a century he has been tormented by the personal war to keep his humanity. Nothing has been stronger until the night he meets Luna. She arouses his deepest hungers, but Aveon knows he must resist his urge to take her...because if he tastes on drop of her blood, they will both be lost.

Thrown together in an unwelcome alliance and fighting the heat that simmers between them, they travel to the mythical domain of Luna's demon sire. As their worlds merge Luna and Aveon become bound by something stronger than lust. Can Luna lay aside centuries of prejudice and open her heart to the only man who can stand beside her in the battle with the vampire king.

This story started out with a bang and just kept right on going. Luna Sea is my kind of heroine. She is hard core, never back down and she is focused on her mission. I am going to try not to give away too much of this book…but I winced when Luna nailed him to the wall. Even when she was already fighting her attraction to him, she literally nailed his ass to a wall. I cringed as the nails were driven in. Ms. Jayne is so descriptive that I felt like I was right there experiencing it with Aveon. But Luna is a woman driven and she is determined to stay true to her mission. I admire the conviction of this heroine. She never backed down, never compromised. Even as she fought the bad guys, she fought her attraction.

My heart ached for Luna. She was birthed by a monster and haunted by a past she had no control over. Then to realize she had feelings for one of the “monsters” she should be fighting. There was never a time in this book where I was sure of the outcome. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions and heart stopping action. This book is insanely dramatic and brutally descriptive.

I. Loved. It.

I really hope that we get to see more books in this world with these characters. These are not your childhood fairies. There are gruesome, dark, evil fae. And the good fae are ass kicking, name taking soldiers for the cause. The vampires are not sweet and sparkly. They are vicious, brutal warriors. This book is not for the faint of heart. If you are looking for a romantic vampire/fairy story, move it along. If you want a gritty, down and dirty, action filled story of destiny and love that defies all odds, then THIS is the book you need to read.

Lunacy and the Vampire is the first installment of the Dominion Series by Evie Jayne what promises to be an exciting addition to the PPRW " (Paranormal Romance Readers World), Evie Jayne has written about an unique world full of vampires and of course the kick-ass heroine Luna!

Lunacy and the Vampire is really an interesting read, it got me hooked from the first page. It's not one to compare with other books from this genre. Lunacy and the Vampire is really one of a kind. Evie Jayne did a great job writing this book it has all the elements you are looking for in a good paranormal romance. Action, fun strong characters all together in a realistic world setting steamy scenes and fast-passed action, this book will make you crave for more.

The story around Luna and Aveon is very good. You can almost feel the tension and I love how Evie let Aveon work for Luna's love, blood struggling ready to fight of his love 100%!

Although the interesting naming and explaining of the unique characters could get al little bit more attention on the writers site it is still for me a strong addition to the paranormal and urban fantasy readers world.

I am curious to what book 2 will bring me.
Maybe more different kind of paranormal characters? I really don't care I just want to read more books from this fantastic new Dominion Series.

He’d been young when he’d been turned, maybe late twenties. He looked tough, sinewy and strong, with close cropped sable hair and a sinfully full mouth. Yes, beautiful. Stunning, in fact.
He stared at Luna with hunger in the depths of his ice blue eyes. Even looking worn and underfed, the vampire radiated a wild danger that sent a thrill through her entire body.

What the hell! Shocked and angry with her irritatingly female reaction, she glared at the offending vampire, not bothering to disguise her loathing. Who was this freaking leech, and what was he doing to her?

Luna lives in The Dominion, an immortal world within the human world. She has one goal, and it is to kill her demon vampire sire. However, it appears she has one more lesson to learn, which comes in the form of the blood suckers she hunts.

Aveon has no love for the life he has unwillingly received, so he does his best to do no harm. Now classified as an Abstainer, he looks to unite with those who once hunted his kind. Luna is one weakness he is unable to afford, but one he will never ignore.

The first meeting between Luna and Aveon ends poorly. The second is not turning out much better. Luna must put aside a lifetime of aversion and hate, to hunt for evil ones. Her destiny will lead to her future and her past.

Lunacy and the Vampire is filled with characters that evolve from the beginning of the story until the end. A true example of the other side of a coin, from hate to love and the fine line between may not stem the tide. I love the storyline and Luna’s pain is apparent with every word. The final battle and ending will take the reader’s breath away.

Highly Recommended! Don’t miss out!

I have to admit, when I first read the cover and saw Lunacy And The Vampire as the title I thought, Lunacy? But understood the title once I dug into reading it. The heroine is Luna Sea, play on words due to the fact her father calls her Lunacy.

Luna Sea has been on a life-long quest; vengeance against her father who is an ancient demon, and whom created the vampire race.

This book was so good, I can't tell which part I liked best.It had action and romance and sex and everything one can expect from a good paranormal book, including some great world building and a strong-headed heroine who is a "beanne sidhe huntress" very deadly and set to kill vampires in order to protect humanity.
The only thing that doesn't make this book justice is the cover, but as we all know one shouldn't judge by it. This one is a keeper, can't wait for Dominion #2.
