I really enjoyed this book. What's really great for me was knowing the locations the story was set in around kings Lynn and being able to picture where most of the characters were within the story. However, the best part was reading different aspects of the story from various different character's view points, especially the killer's. I found it difficult to put down so being able to read it in less than a day was brilliant! Being dyslexic & photosensortive can mean reading certain prints prove extremely problematic for me, but not this book! The print, size and font meant that i had no problem and was able to freely concerted on the story!! Now i just have to order the first book & can not wait for the next D.I.Keane installment! Brilliant. Hope i don't have to wait too long!
It takes a really good book for me to rate Five stars. So four is very good. Ken`s Style is traditional and unique. It is not the style of writing I would choose to read. However he has a formula that works.I liked the fact the book was based in King`s Lynn. The story was good and its great he has the DI Keane series. Its definitely worth a read. Well done Ken. Look forward to reading more of your work.
This is a great thriller with a good main character. I really enjoyed the plotting and the twists and turns of the story. It was interesting to have the view of both the policeman in charge and the perpetrator of the crimes.
I would have liked to have more direct conversations between the main characters rather than reported conversations as I think that would have added a real spark and dynamism to the novel. And there were a couple of key scenes that could definitely have been explored further to add to the obvious drama of the situation.
That said, a great read as usual from this author.
