One word - selflessness. Faqeer is one who is selfless and considers himself below everybody else. So much so that even does not preach lest he should feel more knowing and pious than others to whom he is preaching. I went for this book after reading Alakh Nagri in search of quality books on spirituality and I can say I am satisfied. The author has clearly stated that Wali is one who does not misses even a single Sunnat. Thus all extra-Shariat acts are automatically excluded from Tasawwuf. The book is mostly on how a good muslim should deal with others. A faqeer is always looking to help others, neglicting his own self and NEVER looking for a reward or even appreciation. naiki ker dary main daal aur bhool bhi jaa. However, there are a few things again about tasawwuf which are not answered. The authors answers questions on Haroof e Muqateaat and says this knowledge cannot be revealed and can only be gained through getting into the spiritual order itself. He may be right but an "outsider" is not satisfied with such answers. Regarding a Wali not leaving a single Sunnah, the book itself narrates at least one instance where a sufi did not pray salaat while attending guests which is clearly against shariah. One good thing about the book is that author discourages Zikr Azkar for material purposes. He encourages reciting Quran and praying only to get near to Allah, not to get oneself transfered to a particular office! but then this is for Faqeers who chose this difficult path. For the rest of us may be the author does mention some Azkaar. Overall I find this book very inspiring. the author is clearly against all forms of shirk and strongly condemns it. He says one should go to faqeers to gain Ilm and not for petty worldly desires. The nature of Ilm (ludni) is not very elaborated however in the book. This ilm according to the author is restricted for sufis and cannot be opened/gained by common public lest they do the hardships of spiritual order themselves. Seems fair enough. the author's peer was once assigned the duty to monitor an earthquake in the bottom of an ocean. Allah knows best but why would a faqeer be assigned such a task? What is the actual role of faqeers in our world is not very clearly explained. To sum up, the book is on how a faqeer should act in his daily life, not on what "special" duties or what special "ilm" he is given as a result of his closeness with Allah. Another notable thing in the book is that a faqeer is illustrated as one who does all the hard work in the world and never resorts to Azkaar to get worldly tasks done. Azkaar for him is only to get close to Allah.

"Kahe Faqeer' is a chain of writings in the form of books by the pen of Sir Syed Sarfraz A. Shah Sahab. "Kahe Faqeer" is the very first book of that chain. Sir Syed Sarfraz A. Shah Sahab is truly a spiritual writer who teaches the common Muslims about how to behave with other Muslims and non-Muslims. He teaches that true Muslims should not only focus on their rights but also their beyond-call duties. I truly acknowledge him as my guide because he is a person who truly coached me through his character. He is a true 'Faqeer' and a light for humanity. A significant specialty in the book is that a 'Faqeer' is illustrated as one who does all the hard work in the world and never hideaways to Quranic prayers to get worldly duties done. Verses from the Holy Quran for him are only to get close to Allah Almighty. He follows Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H and his love for the Prophet is visible through his writings. He linked everything with the life of the Holy Prophet and cleared all misconceptions. In this book, he says that 'One can easily find Allah Almighty through cleaning one's 'Heart' and 'Soul". One just needs to wipe out the hate, jealousy, lust for anything, malice, envy, hypocrisy, wishing ill of others, and hidden animosity. I have read & listened to a lot of scholars when they preach that one should clear their heart to reach the way of Allah Almighty. No one except Shah Sahab suggests directions about how to clear one's heart. One can say that 'Kahe Faqeer' guides the ignorant and astray Muslims in an outstanding way.

this book is very much related to the book Mann ki dunia. but the difference is this book is a spiritual talk based on lectures. The author has discuss each and everything of religion in detail and beautifully clear the point at religious matter. Authorr linked everything with the life of Holy Prophet and clear all misconceptions. later on describe importance on every month of Islamic year. while details of all nights if prayers. author focused basically on selflessness on which a Faqeer's life based on. later on author describe how to teach your child with different examples. author basically said to thanks Allah instead of complaining.. i recommend this book to all friends because this book can change your perception of life rarher could change your thinking too. although i have some reservations with the author's some points but overall this book taught me a lot.
