Still Grindin' picks up where Welfare Grind leaves off. Keema is still a mess and looking out for the biggest hustle she can get. After the death of her mother and son, Keema is trying to move on to another big hustle. The only thing she was not prepared for is her past coming back to hunt her. Keema will soon learn that living the fast life is not everything she hoped for. Is she going to be able to turn her life around or will this life suck her in forever.

This was a very good read and good sequel. This book tied up the loose ends from book one which was much appreciated. Banks did an awesome job of making sure each of the characters was developed well. There were a few grammatical errors; however, they could be easily overlooked as they did not take away from the story. I will definitely be looking forward to more books from this author.

Mother of the year goes to Keema..Not! Keema was ratchet from the first book, she wasn't a good mother & she never tried to right her wrongs until it was too late. She's so far gone, that her kids are out of control, especially Treasure.

Excellent follow-up to the first book; however, there were even more typos which was a shame because the errors were easy to catch.

Can you say grimy? That’s the only word in the dictionary I can find that describes the protagonist of this book. This woman isn’t capable of caring for a pet rat let alone foster children. But that’s one of her mini hustles she would be willing to do to get the old mighty Dollar. It doesn’t matter that her greed contributed to the murder of her mother and her own child that she claim to love so much! Mother of the year she will never be. Her 12-year-old daughter is making moves that a 30-year-old might not consider. And why? Because she has the misfortune of being the product of two lowlife grifters. Although they were a perfect match, they would have done the world a favor had they never procreated in the first place. a however they did procreate thus, A child who could only be compared to the likes of Chucky or Freddy cougar then was ejected from the loins of a conceited selfish greedy immoral bitch.. I have read many books with unlikable characters. Hell I read gone girl and I didn’t think I could hate a main character more. Until I met Kemah. Being the guardian of an artistic child requires patience empathy and love which this female has a very short supply. Adding PCP to his daily regiment could not be an act of love. But she will do it so she can get his inheritance. The word loyalty is nonexistent in her world. I don’t want to give away any more spoilers but when I tell you this female was rotten to the core and that you will be rooting for her downfall trust! That is an understatement. And her little 12-year-old daughter… Participating in credit cards scams etc. etc. etc. you will be shaking your head at the end and asking yourself when is this foolery going to end? The book held my attention even though I hated the characters except Dinero and her flashbacks of Cash. It pains me to say I couldn’t stand her daughter Treasure. Too grown to street savvy and just not a likable tween. As the mother of six daughters I get the whole hormone induced attitude that happens between age of 12 and 17 but this was just over the top. Her “mother” deserved The treachery, disrespect all the snarky attitude but the rest??? You have to read this book for yourself to understand what I’m saying.Other than that I’m hoping that the final installment of this series will have this monster getting what she deserves.

Better than the first one. It was more action-packed plus Keema showed us that no matter how dirty you are or have been a human still has a heart. This is the only one that makes you feel empathy for Keema.

You would think after everything that keeps happening to Keena all the deaths and violence she would take responsibility and accountability for her actions but she continues to blame everyone else for her poor decisions and wonder why Treasure is the way she is

Nobody can be trusted

The treachery and evilness continued into this book as well. I’m about to find out how the story will end in part 3.

Not nearly as good as the first one, but definitely a good quick read for urban fiction, a genre I despise. Once again, Keema's trying to stack as much money as she can through her complicated myriad of hustles and scams. This time, all the wrong she did before is finally catching up with her and there's no way out. If you read the first book in the trilogy, you need to read the sequel.

Why do I feel like I'm reading book one all over again?? There's literally parts that are verbatim to the first one. Not impressed, but I'm still going to read part three since I've paid for it.
