Rate this book
A woman who is all about rules and a man who lives to break them, their scorching passion threatens all they hold dear. Can they find a way to have it all?

Lieutenant Commander Giovanni 'Casanova' Cassano is a top test pilot for the military, and is the epitome of an ace. Cocky, arrogant, handsome, and true to his call sign. His best friend's death brings a new pilot to his squadron—a woman. That's not even the real reason it's hard—she's the one who left an indelible imprint on his soul after a twenty-four hour rendezvous. Now she seems to have ice in her veins, not the fiery passion he knows rages beneath the surface.

Jaydee 'Dusti' Amos is following orders, and this time they have landed her at a test facility. She's there to ascertain what caused the deadly B-2 crash. The situation becomes harder once she discovers who is stationed there—the one man she never believed she'd see again after their impulsive and passionate encounter. He pulls her focus from the job at hand and tends to make her break the stringent rules she lives her life by.

They work together to unveil the truth and the feelings between them deepen. But there is a traitor in their midst. Will the fallout tear them apart, or will Gio find some way to convince Jaydee to give him a chance at forever?

Casanova in Training by Aliyah Burke

Wow!! Casanova in Training is a pulse quickening, sexy read that had my heart reaching Mach 2.5 in under a minute. What a rush!!

I loved the character development of Lieutenant Commander Giovanni Cassano and Jaydee Amos. The electrifying vibe between the two strong willed, highly intelligent, analytical personalities pressed me firmly against the back of my chair as the story escalated. Ms. Burke creates a dynamic setting, story line, realistic dialogue and sensuality within a couple hundred pages. The book moves the reader at a blazing pace and thrills in and out of the aircraft are pure genius. All of the characters are extremely well defined and the conflicts surrounding the secondary cast is outstanding. My admiration for the manner in which Ms. Burke creates Jaydee and Gio.

Ms. Burke in my opinion does an incredible job of creating a spellbinding, sexy, sizzling novel that can be enjoyed by both genders.

Ms. Burke is one author to keep a sharp look out for novels. Casanova in Training is a five star read in my opinion.

Even though I have read this author's work before, this took some time for me to get through this book. The sparks between Gio and Jaydee fly off the pages their chemistry is smoking hot, but I think what annoyed me was Jaydee response to having a relationship with a man who clearly wants her in his life. She kept this facade of a woman determine to put her career first before anything even her own emotions about Gio. It was frustrating. But near the end I got a better understanding of why she was like that. I will continue to read Ms. Burke's work.

Jaydee was a different type of heroine. She was so smart, it was like she was part robot, but one that enjoyed sex. Gio, really had his work cut out for him in getting her to take him serious. Maybe in the next book we will know what they have and how they are doing

Even prodigies need love too!

Poor Jaydee did not know what to do when love came calling. Especially when that love was with someone with a reputation like Giovanni "Casanova" Cassano. She was a person whose parents were not the best. She had no clue about real love or concept of family. She was the ultra high IQ geek that no one knew how to handle. She had a PhD and was a test pilot. All these things turned on Gio. He just could not resist her or get her out of his mind, and neither could she. What held her back was fear of his not staying attracted to her because of his womanizing reputation. She thought with time, he would become board with her and she would no longer be enough for him. Besides, she would only have this assignment for a short period of time before she would be returning home. What she did not know was that the minute she'd entered into Gio's life, all other women became a moot point for him. He just had to convince her and convince her he did. He was giving up.

I really enjoyed reading this love story. Aliyah did a great job in plotting out and executing the story about a young woman who was socially awkward growing up because she was so smart. Her father treated her like a commodity and her mother could not be bothered with her. The anguish she felt in dealing with her feelings for Gio was realistic. She went from denying her love for him to protecting him. Their love for each was explosive anytime they were near each other. We see Gio going from a womanizer to being addicted to Jaydee Amos and wanting to be her protector. Thre were a few unexpected twists to the story that kept it interesting. I could not stop reading until the end.

Gio and Jaydee's story was one I enjoyed reading about. This was a good story of a man and woman who aer totally opposite of each other, not suppose to be together but some how are always getting together. I would absolutely recommend this book for a good read. Great job Aliyah please keep all these wonderful stories coming. Thank you.

Never connected, Jaydee was a distant to me, as she was to everyone she encountered. I kept trying to connect, but was totally uninterested.
