This is the fourth book in the series. The characters are interesting and the subject plots gripping but this book is 138 pages long and the next installment is August 2024. This is a little too little and seems like a long wait. There's enough material here for 3 decent sized books, not six!
If it is aliitle soap opera at times. I still love the characters and how they are getting a new start with life in Bella Beach. Editing... well hmm - the previous book said Ole Marvin took off for Palm Springs,so I'm not sure how he suddenly ended up in Arizona... and Sophia arrived as Claire was coming in with leftovers from dinner, but suddenly Claire's in her pj's and Sophia arrived in the middle of the night... Sorry - these little mix upset bother me... but not enough to stop me from reading on...lol...
I’m enjoyed the book and the four women in the stories. As a woman over 50, I love finding books about women of the same age. There just is not enough of them.
Unfortunately since I’m reading the series one after the other, I’m easily remembering the books before and coming across inconsistent information. As well, there are continuity mistakes within this story that should’ve been fixed before editing. Repetition of info throughout has me jumping paragraphs.
Each book gets better and better. I love seeing middle aged women come in to their own. Good friends, romance, mystery, intrigue. Hopefully the next book in this series is available soon. I'm anxious to find out Emma's and Sophia mysteries. Highly recommend this series and especially this author.
I absolutely loved every minute. So glad how things are progressing as we learn more about Emma's family secret. The ending was such a cliffhanger it will be hard waiting 7 months for the next book. I love this series so much.
This was a story of a woman who has been through all lot of drama and being mistreated And needs time to heal. But now is about to go through more drama with an outsider. I would recommend for all to read the series
I read the six books in this series in less than 2 days! They are wonderful! And now I have to wait over 5 months until the next one comes out!!! I was really engaged in the stories, the characters, and their lives.
I adored this series. Light, quick reads where the next book in the series picks up immediately afterwards. Feel-good, escapist women’s fiction where you don’t have to think too much.
In the fourth book of the series, we follow a dramatic change in Sophies life. She is the last of the friends in Portland and after a major upheaval ends up in Bella Brach with her friends. Progress is made in uncovering Emma's mystery also. It has a cliffhanger ending and the last book won't be published until August. Well worth waiting for!
