Possessed girl= spoiled brat. "Unposessed girl= spoiled brat. Lead man= creepy stalker pedophile.... I couldn't muster an ounce of feeling for any of the characters. Reading chapter after chapter from the POV of a 27 year old (with a liking for young girls) as he stalks then marries the snottiest just-turned-18 year old rich "freak" was hard. His POV left me needing several showers! ew! Then there's Cassie. She made zero sense. She made a pathetic demon and a miserable human. Odd.... this book was odd and not in a great way. I kept waiting for it to go from "sick creepy" to "spooky creepy" and when that started to happen, every character began acting unlike themselves, as if the author was reassigning roles mid-book. How about writing the lead guy as a teenager? Then readers won't need to shower after being in his head and his stupidity can be chalked up to hormones? Or make the lead girl more "multiple personality disorder" instead of bat crap crazy? Let her have lucid moments so the reader can feel something other than the urge to slap her silly!
