About the author

Margit Sandemo was a Norwegian-Swedish historical fantasy author. She has been the best-selling author in the Nordic Countries since the 1980s, when her novel series of 47 books, The Legend of the Ice People, was published. She has also written many other book series such as Häxmästaren and Legenden om Ljusets rike.

Disappointed. I'm getting so bored of the series, yet I really want to know how it will end.
In this book a disease is getting spread and police is trying to find those who were infected in order to isolate them in a hospital.
It's also an excuse for another romance, of Rikard brink this time. Well it seems that my guess was wrong. Current generation is not the last one there are another babies incoming. Who will be the last ones for sure as there are only 10 books left after this one.
I really struggle to remember who is still alive and who is who's child by now. Characters somehow seem less memorable compared to Sunniva, Sol, Dag, Tristan, Heike and such.

Do portu Halden przybił statek z Rotterdamu. Jeden z pasażerów sprowadził na ląd zarazę i ludzie zaczynają chorować na czarną ospę. Główny bohater tego tomu, czyli Rikard Brink, pracuje w policji i ma za zadanie znaleźć oraz odizolować zarażonych, żeby nie choroba nie rozpowszechniła się oraz nie urosła do rangi epidemii. W tym wszystkim pojawia się również postać Vinnie, która będzie miała niemały wpływ na Rikarda.

Ten tom podobał mi się bardziej niż poprzednie, ponieważ tematyka związana z wybuchem epidemii była dla mnie bardzo atrakcyjna. Polubiłam Rikarda oraz to jak zaczął realizować swoje zadanie, by powstrzymać rozpowszechnianie choroby. To postać wykazująca się rozsądkiem, a jego cechy, które ujawniają się w trakcie całego zadania sprawiają, że trudno jest tę postać ocenić w sposób negatywny. Wątek Vinnie nie był zły, ale równie dobrze mogłoby go w ogóle nie być, a książka praktycznie nic by nie straciła. Zostawiam dwie gwiazdki, było okej, ale moja sympatia do tego tomu nie była na tyle duża, żeby dać gwiazdkę więcej.

W zasadzie już można zacząć odliczenie, bo zostało mi 10 tomów do zamknięcia serii.

Ez a sztori is más, mint ami eddig volt. A fülszöveg sem írja, mi a lényeg, így én sem lövöm le a poént, milyen katasztrófa borul a városra, mert éppen ez benne a legérdekesebb. Jópofa, hogy itt már van telefon meg fertőtlenítés stb. Annyira bennem van, hogy ez történelmi sorozat, hogy mindig meglepődöm, amikor civilizált lesz a sztori és vonattal meg autóval mennek a szereplők ló meg szekér helyett :D

Podobała mi się, ale nie będzie to mój ulubiony tom. Za dużo w nim tematów, które były już poruszane w Sadze wcześniej - fanatyzm religijny, dziewczyna stłamszona przez apodyktycznych krewnych... Wątek miłosny był ładny, ale jak dla mnie niezbyt rozwinięty, a szkoda. Mimo wszystko czytało mi się dobrze, a sama historia mnie całkiem zainteresowała, więc nie jest to też najgorszy tom Sagi.

Det här är en av de bästa böckerna i serien om Sagan om Isfolket. Blev förvånad när jag inte hittade den hos någon av internetbutikerna. Jag har lyssnat på boken på Storytel.

I början av varje bok får man en resumé över vad som har hänt, vilket gör att det är lätt att komma rakt in i berättelsen, oavsett om man har läst de tidigare böckerna.

En spännande berättelse om när en fripassagerare på ett skepp från Rotterdam för döden med sig till byn Halden. Två kvinnor hjälper den sjuka mannen. När han dör, börjar jakten på kvinnorna. Folk stänger in sig i skräck över att möta de båda kvinnorna, ovetande om att de redan är smittade.

Bokens huvudpersoner är Rikard Brink av Isfolket och Vinnie Dahlen som har kuvats under många år av sin moster och knappt vågar höja rösten. De båda har en central roll i jakten på de smittade.

Tycker gott du kan läsa den här boken utan att ha läst någon av de tidigare böckerna, eftersom den är var oerhört fängslande.

I like this novel especially because it pictures a very common relationship between a clergyman, priest, pastor etc. and the women of his parish very acurately. I do not mean that it is a common thing that clergymen use their powers to swindle people, and I suppose it is not VERY common (although it happens...) that they actually have sex with the women in reality. But the feelings, the hints, the atmosphere, the way clergymen often (if they are attractive enough) use their looks, their charm and their sexuality to make the women of the parish worship them is very true. It does not have to be conscious from the clergyman's side either, not always, it can also be just the women reacting with imaginations about love and sex when the clergyman only means to be kind and considerate to them, without any hidden plans. Anyway, I recognize things that I have seen in parishes, and maybe felt something of myself too *blushing*, towards a handsome pastor with the gift of the gab..!

On a cold januart morning of year 1937 to port in Halden came a ship from Rotterdam. Passenger without ticket left it and Death was following him step by step. Among people, whose life was in threat, was unhappy Vinnie Dahlen. Policeman Rikard Brink got the assignment to stop disaster threating whole town, but first he had to gain the trust of terried Vinnie.

Dette er en av de gangene jeg virkelig har fått en ny opplevelse av å lese en bok på nytt. Å lese denne på nytt etter ørten gjennomlesninger før korona, og etter... var veldig forskjellig.Gøy!
