The Sibling Constellation

Rate this book
From the Penguin Arkana Contemporary Astology Series, edited by Erin Sullivan, an exploration of siblings, and the sibling archetype, through the lens of astrology, psychology, and mythology. Brin Clark examines early psychological theories of Freud, Jung, and Adler, as well as how these thinkers may have been influenced by the sibling dynamics within their own families. Part 2 goes into sibling dynamics in astrological charts. The basic thesis is that all family members influence one another (and that apparently this influence may show up on the natal birth charts and transits).

I picked this book up again after it having been in a box for many years following me around on numerous house moves.
It's a very good read, sometimes a bit wordy. However the extensive knowledge you gain of how to read the sibling story in a chart makes it worth it!
There are so many ways into a chart, this gives you the way into observing how Gemini, the third house and their rulers weave their tale of your initial rite of passage into what is outside of you.
How you act, react with your siblings will often shape your way of acting, reacting with friends, groups, partners, employers in your life.

Dense, and fascinating. This is the only book I've found that explores this part of our lives and energies so thoroughly, including charts and case studies. For the advanced astrologer also fascinated by classic psychology.
