I approached this one with fear and trepidation. The title had a cus word in it! A group of short stories, well written showing a wide spectrum of talent for story telling. Each tale is unique and stands on its own. Fun, quick read.

These short stories are a hoot! I thoroughly enjoyed them, and I am not a big short story reader. Be prepared to be surprised!

I must confess this right up front: I bought this book because the title gave my funny bone a good smack. I've been burned in the past, buying a book because of the title, but not in this case.

Rat Bastards is a very short book containing a few stories and some very clever poems. I read it in a single sitting, which was very easy to do. I was thoroughly entertained for that period of time and in fact for a while after because the stories lingered on the brain - much like a fine wine that lingers on the tongue.

I must admit that I bought this book because the title grabbed me right from the beginning. Rat Bastards and Teapots—loved the title. The short stories were interesting and well written, making it a great read. I also liked how Jill Edmondson included some very good poems as a little extra. This was a quick read that will linger on in your mind for a while. Very good!
