This is a very academic work, and a lot of the algorithms have models and ideas that are not very useful in practice.

Only read part of it, used some of the descriptions directly as guidance while implementing solutions to the problems for my Advanced Operating Systems class. Still own it, and consult it from time to time as the need arises-it's too much of a textbook to really read from front to back.
