Ossolyn #2

Justice

Rate this book
Yesterday, everything in Sarah Metz's life was perfect, or at least as close as anyone ever gets. The big bad was defeated, she was living with the man she loved, and the most difficult challenges on the horizon were finding a job and dealing with school.

Today, she opened the letter sent by her dead best friend, and that ripped perfect to shreds. Now she remembers who she used to be, why she is where she is, and what she needs to do.

Althiira is back, and if justice is impossible, she's perfectly fine with revenge.

Althiira is back.

JUSTICE by KERYL RAIST is the second book in the Ossolyn Trilogy. SYLVIANNA is the first book in this series and I suggest they be read in order.

I read and reviewed SYLVIANNA back in June 2011 and absolutely loved it! I knew there was a second book in the series coming out and couldn't wait to get my hands on it. This was one of those books that I continued to think about even as time passed. The characters stuck with me and I really wanted to know what was going to happen next. I was thrilled when I heard that JUSTICE had been released.

Both of these books have intricate storylines that come together beautifully. This is not a series that you can or should pick up if you are looking for some fluff reading. This is some seriously elaborate writing that I found exhilarating to read. We move between the characters in this life on planet earth and their other lives on Ossolyn. We are given the terrifying visions of the last moments of Ossolyn and its millions of inhabitants just as the planet is destroyed, and we are given insight into why Althiira is seeking justice against Cell. Ms. Raist was able to move the reader to feel Althiira's pain as well as Cell's. This is no small feat for an author to make the reader feel sympathetic to both of these characters. I understood the actions of both and wanted desperately for a resolution that would end happily for both of these people.

I loved the way this book ended and now I'm going to have to patiently wait for the third book in the series to come out. I know JUSTICE will stick with me as much as SYLVIANNA did because I have come to feel so close to the characters. I highly recommend this book!
