Seeing Damon Petrov across the dance floor sparked something inside of Gabby that was unfamiliar and dangerously thrilling. She couldn’t believe it when he approached her, offering her coffee and conversation. The exchange melted into a weekend of incredibly moving encounters that made her shudder with excitement and desire.
Unfortunately, the end of that weekend came much too quickly when Damon disappeared without a word while she slept. Gabby struggled to recover from her encounter with the most amazing man she’d ever met. She was finally pulling herself together when he swooped back into her life. She was furious that he thought he could just march back to her with no explanation or apology for the way he’d left. But the shock of discovering that she was pregnant overshadowed her anger, leaving her shaking and terrified.
Damon had finally met a woman who wanted just him, not his money or the prestige that came from being seen on his arm or even the creature comforts his wealth could offer her. Gabriella Smith was sweetness and refreshing honesty all wrapped up in a luscious, sexy package. But when she got too close, he ran, pushing her away because he didn’t want to deal with feelings that he had previously associated with pain and heartache.
So when he discovered she was pregnant, he moved quickly to move her into a situation where he could ensure that the baby survived, protecting his unborn offspring.
He quickly re-discovered that Gabby wasn’t like the other women he’d been with in the past. And as he protected his unborn child, he forgot to protect his heart from those feelings that had terrified him the first time around. Gabby’s tender touch and sweet sighs of happiness worked their way through the protective barriers he’d built up over the years and he found himself defenseless against her smile and gentle touch.

"The Russian's Pregnant Mistress" is the story of Gabby and Damon.
Sweet innocent heroine meets our sexy Russian hero and has a wild one night stand, after which he disappears. Few weeks pass, and he returns only to realize she is pregnant. They have a slow courtship, his past traumas are revealed as he steamrolls into her life, and the book ends in a HEA.
Short, sweet one time read. Not as great as the author's later works.
This was a really sweet book! It was love at first sight when Gabby and Damon saw each other in a bar. Gabby was there with her friends at a bridal shower, and Damon was there to find his brother. They left the bar together to have coffee. One thing led to another, and they spent the weekend together.
It was Damon who figured out Gabby was pregnant, before she knew herself. He was not a jerk at all, actually he was very sweet, and wanted to take care of her.
This book was also funny. When you are pregnant you never know what you will crave. Damon came home and found 25 boxes of mac n cheese. He gentle asked her about them, and never once laughed at her. I laughed when Damon was trying to figure out what to name the dogs. Gabby and Damon made wonderful characters. Daman was defiantly alpha mail. Gabby however didn’t back down easily, she held her ground.
Gabby loved him more when she found out how he grew up. He didn't have a home, and often times found food in trash cans for his brother, and him to eat. Not only did he survive, he is now a billionaire. That part of the story touched my heart.
The only way this book could have been better is if it was longer, and had a few more details. I would have like to have read about Gabby going into labor. I am glad however that the book included an epilogue.
Sample from chapter 6 Gabby realized that it didn’t matter too much that Damon didn’t talk about himself much or his past at all. He talked to her about the things that mattered to him now and Gabby knew that was as important to her as learning about why he was the way he is. She tried to stay awake and listen to him longer, loving the deep sound of his voice, but by nine o’clock that night, she was too tired to hold her head up. She tried to walk up the stairs, but Damon just lifted her into his arms and carried her despite her protest. He put her into bed, then took off his clothes and slid in behind her, his hand covering her belly as he held her sleeping.
This story was a great read! I really, really liked Gabriella as the heroine. She was smart, knew her own mind and didn't take any crap. Damon had the typical moments of tycoon arrogance but he was invested in the unique experience of savoring Gabriella's innocence - something that always spells doom for the heroes in these stories! Enjoyed the dialogue and the addition of a motley crew of rescued pound dogs which make an appearance near the end. Well done! BTW: the edition I purchase had a different cover, which I much preferred, to the one shown here. The Russian's Pregnant Mistress
Cover: Like a kid put it together My Rating: 72/100 Overall: Alright Page Turner: Not exactly Recommend: If you really want to
COMMENTS: I've had this on my list for a while and I have to say that I am a little disappointed with how it came out. Not a lot was explained at the end, things were kind of rushed. I didn't get enough visualization so that I could see the characters come alive off the pages, which is disappointing. I tried to get into it, but there wasn't much to get into. The story was there, but something about it didn't seem too well thought out. There was a lot of places this could have been improved. But I don't reading it.
First time reading this author and I really enjoyed this book. The steam level was a little low—there were sex scenes but there was condom use and they were written in the way that Mills and Boon love scenes were written in. But the story was good. The writing flowed well, and there was emotion and connection between the characters, I was rooting for them both and I loved that the story drew me in.
My only complaint is that the h never finds out about the heroes heartbreak in his teens. He talks about his childhood, but his evil ex and the despicable act she committed is never mentioned. But it’s a small complaint and didn’t in any way detract from the story.
The book was safe. Hero’s past is mentioned in passing, specifically about the ex and her evil deed that deeply wounded him. Heroine is a virgin, belongs only to the hero, no abuse, no ow/om drama, HEA with epilogue about a year out
was a cute book. it had a lot of humour in it that had me laughing out loud, the conversations & actions between Damon & Gabby were humourous at times. The fact that she couldn't walk away when she found out she was pregnant & that he really wanted to keep & raise t he baby was a surprise since he was a billionaire & got whatever he wanted. I truly thought he would run the other way when he figured out that she was pregnant before she did. My only question in the book was what woman doesn't think about being pregnant after 2 months with no period? That was the only unbelievable part of the story, she's young & highly intelligent it should've clicked. But I would definitely recommend for a heartwarming read to pick up this book. Looking forward to reading more of Elizabeth Lennox.
The story starts out at a club. She is there for her girlfriends bachelorette party. She was not impressed with the other girls there. She did spot a very handsome man across the room. When two divas from her group go after him she has had enough. He follows her out. Then after a very intense weekend he disappeared. When he comes back a couple of months later things go upside down. He figured out that she was pregnant and didn't want him to know. The story revolves around the pregnancy from here on out. He asked her for marriage. But she figured out that the only reason he was back was to make her his mistress. Will there be an ending that they both get their happy ending?
i liked this story. Damon came from a sad struggling childhood where he fended for himself and his brother till he reached the pinnacle of success. Gabby is a sweet hardworking lady who is shy and friendly. they meet and at the end of there passionate weekend damon does a disappearing act for a month. the cuple eventually work out all there troubles and end up HEA
ANOTHER GOOD READ.
PROUD OF THE CHARACTERS, however i would have like to see another glimpse of maggie to see what she thought of the main characters or to rub it in maggies in laws face lmao (nasty i know)
I am not typically in love with these types of stories but I have got to tell you, I LOVED IT!! I needed a good story as a pick me up and bought this one that came up in search. Very well developed characters and storyline. I just loved Damon and felt almost bereft at the end of the novel when I wasn't going to be able to hear about him anymore! I am now proceeding to purchase several more of her books, the sheik series particularly and can't wait to dive in. Highly recommend and gave it five stars!
Gabby and Damon. After a fantastically naughty weekend, Damon disappears. He got cold feet because he knew she meant more to him than any other woman. After over a month he somehow finds his nuts and shows up again. He's not my favourite hero. He is suspicious by nature His first reaction is always to distrust and then stick his foot in his mouth. Slowly she gets him to open up. She has more patience than me! The epilogue was sweet though.
If I keep it up I will soon have all of her books read. What can I say I live her books. Anything that has to do with babies I am all in. I love to read romance books that have babies in them.
I think that having kids deals with real life and if I'm going to read a romance I like to have some in them. Thank you for being such a great author and coming up with all of these great books.
What a sweet book, a tad rushed at times but when it's got such a sweet story line and it's a easy read the rushed sections you don't mind. It's a sweet soppy romance .a real emotional engaging love story that will suck you in from the start. A bit of drama a makes a happy ending. Lovely writing style great author. :)
Grabby is at a Bridal Shower and Damon sees her casting glances his way! They meet up for coffee after Gabby tires the drunken party! Damon insists on seeing her home safely and you will have to get this book to see this amazing man work his magic! GREAT STORY! Elizabeth Lennox has done herself proud!
I loved Gabby and Damon’s story. It drew me in from the very beginning and kept me captivated throughout the entire book. I couldn’t stop reading it until I was finished with the last word. It was an absolutely Amazing love story. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing read
It wasn't bad, although at times I did wonder about the heroine being bi-polar, she goes from freaking out about him and not wanting to commit because he basically called her a whore, to saying what an awesome father the hero would be. Can you say mind fuck?
I liked this story, the characters in this book are great and nice short story to read any time. I Elizabeth Lennox books particularly for the humorous scenes she puts in her books.
I love Elizabeth Lennox's stories. I'm always able to escape to another life and experience different emotions and feelings. Thanks for always writing a great story.
Before even starting this book I wondered why Damon would have to protect his unborn child... protect the baby from what? Every book I read by Elizabeth just drives me to read more of her books... Once she reels you in you are captured for life.
I love elizabeth lennox books and have them all.her characters are believable and interesting. You get both sides or view of these people.the women are strong persons and participates filling in story including the sexual scenes.
I really enjoyed this book. The story captured my attention right away as always. The author did a fantastic job creating a story with great characters. My only complaint is that it should have been longer. The sex was HOT. I hated that it was over!
A delightful read. Full of angst and drama. A story of innocence vs insecurities and past vs presence vs future. Indeed a great story and oh so heartwarming.
Great fast read. Hot wealthy guy see girl, they have a fabulous weekend. Then he freaks and leaves. When he comes back he wants his woman back. Really enjoyed the read.
Damon dragged himself and his half brother out of the Russian gutter to become a ruthless business tycoon. Turns out falling for a woman finds his soft centre. Sweet.
