Becoming a parent can be daunting at the best of times, but for Flynn, a business lawyer in Melbourne, it almost pulls the feet from right underneath him. He’s become a father to six-year-old Nadine literally overnight! He had no idea about her existence, and the news throws him into chaos, even more so when he is asked to take over custody.

With the help of Emma, an employee at the hotel where Nadine and her grandparents are staying, and his parents, Flynn tries to do the right thing. Yet, the right thing in his eyes differs from his parents’, and Emma is voicing her opinion as well. And right in the middle is little Nadine, still grieving the loss of her mother and finding a wonderful friend in Emma. There’s no doubt she’s afraid where and with whom she will settle.

But in the end, it’s a letter Flynn receives that helps him figuring out what to do.

Her couples are hungry for life, done with the past, passionate about family, and emotionally hopeful for a future. The stories are mainly set in Australia but also in New Zealand and even the US, depending on where her travels take her. She loves nothing more than for her readers to join her on her journeys.

Innocent Tears is a beautiful and touching tale about six year old Nadine who has lost her mother. Nadine has been in the care of her grandparents, but they feel it's time for her biological father, Flynn to take charge of her.

Flynn McCormack was in total shock when he heard that Nadine was his daughter. Flynn worked as a business lawyer in Melbourne and his days were constantly busy and now they were about to get a whole lot busier. Flynn's world had suddenly been turned upside down and he didn't know which direction to turn.

This was a very enjoyable and heartwarming story which I have no hesitation in recommending.

MY REVIEW
I received this e-book from Opal Campbell of Astreae Press via my daughter in exchange for an honest review.
I like the cover as its quite eye-catching and I would say would attract you to it on a shelf.
I started reading this book and seriously did not want to put it down at all. I read at every opportunity available. The plot keeps you interested. The book has both fascinating and realistic characters that you immediately become attached to. The book follows Flynn's rather emotional journey, from when he learns he is a father to a six year old girl. He literally is a father overnight, when he is asked to take custody of her.
I seriously don't want to go into plot details as I would not wish to spoil any part of your reading this book. Personally I think the book would appeal to a wide age group. I am recommending it to my daughter to also read and review it.
So did I enjoy it? Yes Would I recommend it? Yes Would I read more by this Author? Yes definitely.

Innocent Tears by Iris Blobel is one of those novels that sticks with you long after you finish reading. This is more than a romance, this is a testament to family and how strong unconditional love bonds us together. The relationship between father-daughter made me cry a few times and Blobel's words from off the page and into my heart. Highly recommend!

There is more than just a love story between a man and women in this book. There's a love story between a man and his daughter and although it takes some time for him to discover and show this love there is quite a drama that unfolds here. Innocent Tears having been the second book I have read by this author I am becoming addicted to her writing style. I hang on to every word as they plant a seed of possibilities and as to where the story can lead it is endless. A romance between Emma and Flynn with a bit more spark would have been desirable but otherwise a great read. 3.5 stars.

I really enjoyed the book. At times I felt it to be cliche and not enough meat in it but definitely overall I enjoyed how they came to be. How the little girl didn't seem to be an add on but apart of the story in how the main characters develop themselves. I do believe the ending did not need to be that rushed. I felt it was a quick wrap up.

I have to admit - I have no idea how it is to become a parent overnight, let alone to find out that the child is already 6! In this book the Author brilliantly plots a romance, a strong, beautiful feeling alongside the waking up fatherhood. This book will get you on the edge of your seat, you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll bite your nails. Great job!!!

Review:

"Innocent Tears" by Iris Blobel was a wonderful well written novel that once you start reading it will be hard to put down. Definitely the 'six year old girl' Nadine stole this novel for me in her first appearance in the read. "When six year old Nadine peers over the reception counter of a big city hotel and tells the receptionist,My mum's dead, the reader's attention is immediately gained." Nadine's grandparents had been taking care of her but now wanted to give her to her biological father, Flynn who was a business lawyer in Melbourne and didn't know of his daughters' existence. Be ready for a lots of drama to come from all of this situation. The characters Emma, Flynn, Nadine, the grandparents and Jack are all well developed and colorful , and really comes to life giving you a well written storyline. This author really keeps the reader guessing about the romance between Flynn and Emma and you will see how this love story is between a man and his daughter will finally blossom all in this good read. Would I recommend this read? YES!

This heartwarming story revolves around Nadine, a six-year-old girl who has lost her mother. Her grandparents have been taking care of her, but they no longer want the responsibility; they want to give her back to her biological father, Flynn, who has never met her.

Emma, our heroine, works at a hotel and offers to babysit for Nadine to help the grandparents out. She meets Flynn and dislikes him immediately because of his ambivalence regarding his newfound fatherhood. Besides, Emma is involved with Jack. But Jack isn't exactly perfect. Who will Emma choose?

Iris Blobel does a marvelous job of making these characters come to life. When you get to the last chapter, you slow down your reading so as not to say goodbye to these colorful folks. As always, she keeps you guessing about the romantic plot line until the last moment.

Not a bad story, although I wish Emma and Flynn had been stronger and more evenly written. At times, I saw the attraction between them, at others not.

My only problem was the back story. There's no real explanation why Nadine's mother (and the love of Flynn's life) didn't tell him she was pregnant. There wasn't any animosity between them. In fact, Flynn still loves her six years after she left him to return home. I wondered what would have happened if she had lived. Would he have gone through life not knowing he had a daughter?

Overall, a decent if predictable read.

N.B. I received this e-book from Astreae Press in exchange for an honest review.

Innocent Tears

-1 star for poor editing, it became annoying and some sentences lost context. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this story, it had me reaching for the tissues a few times and wondering if Flynn and Emma would actually get their act together.
This is a first read of a story by this author and I look forward to reading more.

5 Stars by Bernadette Longu for Readers' Favorite

The reader’s attention is captured from the first page to the very last sentence, which is most unexpected. The journey that the author takes the reader on has so many twists and turns that at times the reader will wonder if it will come to a romantic conclusion as themes of human nature, both good, bad, indifferent, confused, and loving race through the book. Iris Blobel uses the characters' natures to good advantage as she spins her tale of love, loss, and romance.
