Simon Adams is a writer and editor of children’s non-fiction and reference books. He specializes in history, politics and current affairs and has written extensively on exploration, music and the arts. He is also a well established jazz critic and reviewer. Simon has also contributed to family and adult reference books and has been an editorial consultant on various history and other titles.
Simon was born in Bristol and studied history and politics at the London School of Economics and Bristol University, where he gained an MSc. He entered publishing as a publicity copywriter at Routledge and subsequently joined Dorling Kindersley, eventually becoming managing editor of the children's division. He became a full-time writer 15 years ago. Since then, he has written and contributed to more than 60 books for a wide range of publishers on subjects as varied as archaeology, the sinking of the Titanic and the history of jazz. Simon lives in London and is a keen reader and cyclist.

A book that is all about weather. It tell about the wind blowing, fun in the snow, rainbows, fog,climate and droughts. This book goes into detail about how the earth spins and all about how the seasons are related to the power of the sun.

This is a good book for students to read teaching them all about weather. It goes into detail about every part of the weather. I also really like how it has a Glossary at the back of the book just like the students text books.

This book is a great when learning about the weather in an all around way for students of any age. The pictures along with the words help students better understand the different types of weather and what actually causes the weather.

A large amount of information about all types of weather. Three levels of text ranging from general to much more specific. Includes many text features and is easy to navigate.

Great book that can be used throughout a whole unit about the seasons. This book describes the weather through the ages, explains the different types of weather and what causes the different types of weather. The book has detailed illustrations that shows worldwide variations in weather and climate. It is easy to navigate and it is filled with various facts that provides the reader with insights and explanations about the forces behind the weather.
