Simone Mondesir was born and educated in England, but a peripatetic childhood living on military bases in the Far and Middle East gave her a taste for travel. After a brief flirtation with academic life, she worked for many years as a journalist in print, radio and TV. After living in France for 20 years, she has moved to Cornwall where she writes, walks and spends a lot of time looking at the sea.
