Stanley 'Stan' Mack (B.A., Illustration, Rhode Island School of Design, 1958) is a cartoonist and illustrator best known for his pioneering observational style. Stan Mack's Real Life Funnies ran as a comic strip in The Village Voice for more than 20 years, and his work also has appeared in Esquire, New York magazine, and Natural History, among others. He perviously served as art director of The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, and the New York Times Book Review, successively. After leaving the Voice, his Adweek comic strip, Stan Mack’s Outtakes ran for a decade.

A simple parabel about how we react to change. I read it as part of a mentoring thing at work and really identiifed with the cahracters when thinking baout my kids and how they react.

Easy to read in one sitting and you'll laugh then wonder "hey, How did he know that?"

Love books that tell the truth and make me laugh.
