A detailed record of the emigration phenomenon of the village of Man in San Tin, Hong Kong. This ethnographic work captures how lineage worked to facilitate the transnational movement in the context of the surge in UK catering demand and the restructure of the Hong Kong economy. There are some lovely descriptions of how access was gained to the village and talks by the villagers.
