Based on expert research and the most up-to-date veterinary science, best-selling pet author Dr. Bruce Fogle offers insight into all aspects of your cat's behavior. AUTHOR Dr. Bruce Fogle is a best-selling author whose books teach pet lovers how to care for and understand the behavior of their four-legged companions.
Beautiful full color pictures of kitties illustrate the points in this book about cat language. Learn how to read your cat's facial and body expressions. I wish the author would've gone into more detail about how we can communicate back to our cats, but overall it was a very good book and I learned some things I hadn't known before.
I've seen some complaints in reviews about the author being pro-outdoors for cats, but it seemed to me that the book discussed the pros and cons of both indoor and outdoor living for cats. It allowed the reader to make their own determination as to what was best for their cat.
My two are indoor only with supervised access to our third floor balcony so they can sit and watch the birds and squirrels and people. That seems to make them quite happy.
Anyhow, the book is a good read and the pictures of beautiful kitties made me happy while reading it.
Lots of basic information about cats, but not exactly what I was expecting. I wanted more about how to read a cat's body language, but what I got was lots of cute kitten pictures.
Also, the author is a proponent of letting housecats wander free outside. I strongly disagree, both for the health and safety of the cat and for the other small animals who live outside. Cats will hunt purely for sport and can have a serious impact on a habitat.
