Dr. Bramwell is a man who likes to keep busy. A magpie by nature, he is the creator of the successful Cheeky Guide series, founder and host of Brighton’s Catalyst Club and singer-songwriter in the band Oddfellows Casino (Nightjar Records). His music and spoken word material have been featured on BBC radio 1, 3,4 and 6.

David has written books on subjects ranging from difficult words to sexuality for Penguin, Harper Collins and DK, has spoken at and hosted TEDx events, curated a tent at Port Eliot Festival and, together with fellow musician Eliza Skelton, entertained festival and cinema audiences with “Sing-along-a-Wickerman”.

His one-man show, The Haunted Moustache, won him awards for “Outstanding Theatre” and “Best Comedy Show” during the Brighton Festival, a BBC R3 commission for the series Between the Ears and a Sony Award in 2011.

His second one-man show, the No9 Bus to Utopia was based on a year spent travelling round communities in Europe and America in search of a better life. The show premiered in the Earth Ship in Brighton’s Stanmer Park and has since featured as a TED lecture and been performed at Alain de Botton’s School of Life, 5X15, the Idler Academy and Port Elliot Festival. He is happiest, however, performing it in the back room of a pub.

It is worth noting that Dr Bramwell is a medical man by rumour only; approach with extreme caution, particularly if he offers to whip out your tonsils in exchange for a packet of biscuits.

This is one of those books you find your hand slipping towards in the bookstore because of the unconventional presentation: the cover is a form of thick black rubber with the gray rubber letters inlaid. I picked it up as a gift but might someday also pick up a copy to put on my own shelves with my collection of books that you really *can* judge by their cover. The physicality of books like this reminds me that the Kindle and its ilk can never really replace my book collection until it can imitate the texture of an experience like this.

Very basic introduction to different types of fetishes. I enjoyed it, although you can breeze through the content in less than an hour. The pictures and kinky line drawings are entertaining but the real delight of this book lies in the thick rubber cover. This is a super fun book to have on your shelf if you enjoy collecting these kinds of titles. Also I purchased it for $2.99 from Barnes and Noble, so for me it was definitely worth it.

I was expecting a little more from this book then what I got. I was hoping to learn about many different fetishes. Instead the book focus's mostly on BDSM and goes into less extreme fetishes very minimal. The book basically introduces you to the world of BDSM and gives a lot of tips, do's and don'ts, as well as badly drawn pieces accompanied with some of the topics. It's a very short read and the whole book is written in little cliff notes, not written like an actual book. The author brings humor into it, sometimes funny, sometimes not. It was entertaining for the most part but I wanted to learn about FETISHES, not BDSM.

A very pretty book....the pictures and cover of the book definitely have style. This is a good book for basics. If you want to ponder types of fetish and want a simple primer. Has a useful section of resources, but nothing you couldn't find in other sex guides- Good Vibrations Guide to Sex, for example.

It is written with humor and ease.

And, it's pretty to look at.

Really nice overview especially if you're new to the scene. Doesn't go too deep but covers the basics of the whole dom/sub thing quite well. Some nice resources in the back if you want to dive deeper into the subject. The PVC cover is quite appropriate as well..... ;)
