When Richard reveals the ancient tomes and dark secrets that have united their two families for hundreds of years, Laura is plunged into a world filled with secret societies, deception, murder, and… apparitions?
Laura has successfully cloned the first human, using DNA from an ancient shroud. When she realizes that the clone is the very thing Richard needs to control mankind, the scientist is torn between her love for him and the morality of what she has done.
Can Laura, along with her uninvited visions and circle of mysterious friends, stop the annihilation of mankind before it’s too late?
I have an unshakable fetish for a good mystery and anything paranormal, along with an insatiable appetite for coffee and travel. When I'm not reading the wonderful creations from other authors, I'm creating stories of my own.
My family keeps me grounded, my pets keep me jumping, my friends keep me focused, and it all happens in Texas!
The author displays an excellent use of characters that relate to the story as a whole and to each individual character. Very few books have I read that turn and surprise me. With each introduction of a new character, I found myself letting down my guard of deciding how the person or situation tied together. Before long, I was pulled into the story, one of the operating characters myself trying to figure out how the situation would resolve as if I was one myself. Her style of writing is one a book reader longs to come across and when it ends, you find yourself longing for another book by the same author. I look forward to more from ML Stephens!
The second book in this series is amazing! It's full of twists, turns and intrigue. I love the creativity and unique storyline of Miss. Stephens writing.
"What does a ghost do in his spare time? Do you have other ghosts over for dinner and drinks, all while discussing the latest technology in human haunting?"
Love the storyline, that is why I read this, and will read book 3, regardless of the mistakes. Beth changed to Sue and back again. The agents were "rouge" instead of "rogue". I even saw the most basic grammar mistake - "your" instead of "you're"... Thankfully I haven't seen the usual "should of" instead of "should've", so I'm really hoping that book 3 won't disappoint.
