Just when life inside the compound was returning to normal, the Avery-Greggario struggle resurfaces, only this time, Laura’s son is the ultimate prize.
Everyone assumes Aric is cloned from Cliff’s DNA, and Laura isn’t about to tell them any differently. The deception keeps her secret hidden.
When a new Avery shows up with guns blazing and demands that Aric be handed over, Josh is forced to dig into Laura’s past and discover the truth behind Aric’s origins in order to save the child he loves as his own.
Can Josh face his own personal demons and accept the truth? Or will the lives of everyone he loves be destroyed by the skeletons in Laura’s closet?
I have an unshakable fetish for a good mystery and anything paranormal, along with an insatiable appetite for coffee and travel. When I'm not reading the wonderful creations from other authors, I'm creating stories of my own.
My family keeps me grounded, my pets keep me jumping, my friends keep me focused, and it all happens in Texas!
The author displays an excellent use of characters that relate to the story as a whole and to each individual character. Very few books have I read that turn and surprise me. With each introduction of a new character, I found myself letting down my guard of deciding how the person or situation tied together. Before long, I was pulled into the story, one of the operating characters myself trying to figure out how the situation would resolve as if I was one myself. Her style of writing is one a book reader longs to come across and when it ends, you find yourself longing for another book by the same author. I look forward to more from ML Stephens!
If you have this book as "marked to read" READ IT NEXT!!! This trilogy is excellent. Book one and two will keep you engaged in the "battle of good and evil" and the twists and turns will keep you guessing. Book 3 is written in a new POV which was very refreshing. It still has a few shockers to keep you on your toes!! This one is definitely a "Good Read"
The third instalment of The Perfect Clone was amazing! Laura's journal entries were very insightful and answered many questions. Great ending to an extremely creative series!
