Cover & Title - 4 out of 5
Favorite Line - "He wanted to be the man she married, the man she stay with forever."
Favorite Character - Aidan.

From looking at the cover & reading the blurb i was expecting a pretty standard romance read but it is so much more than that. It is complex & moving. It is a love story in the truest sense. They both have had hardships & heartaches but upon finding each other discover that they can help each other move through it and move on to happiness. I loved the concept & I felt the story was well written. I was totally satisfied at the end of the story & the book left me with a feeling of contentment.

I would recommend this book & I would read more by this author.

After his death, Grace discovers that her husband was unfaithful to her. She travels to the scene of his infidelity, a rustic lake front cabin, searching for evidence of his betrayal.

Aidan, who has been staying in the cabin while he recovers from horrific injuries sustained in Afghanistan stumbles upon Grace on a stormy night.
Together with the neighbors dog, they share the cabin for the next five days and in each others arms find some healing for their damaged hearts.

Five Days Grace is a sweet and easy to read contemporary romance. It doesn't really break any new ground but it delivers what those who read this genre expect. It's a satisfying and enjoyable book to read.

OK...it does break some new ground...finally a contemporary romance with a military hero who isn't a Navy SEAL. Hooray for that.

Many thanks to ePublishing Works and Netgalley for providing me with this ARC

This was a cute and very heart breaking story to what had happened to both of them. I can't even imagine dealing with all of the issues they both had to overcome.

nice, nice, nice....unvarying nice-ness!
I found this book to be a nice read, and the reason it was so nice was the reason it took me a while to finish. I just didn't see it changing and the level of connection between Grace and Aidan stayed more or less the same throughout the book, they started getting close pretty early in the book and then nothing really changed. So it was nice, but not exciting or even able to hold my attention for long. I kept visiting the amazon discussion threads and chatting there, reading blurbs of other books, goodreads, reviewer blogs.....just anything pretty much that distracted me. Not sure if I was in just the wrong mood but normally I read books avidly not at this slow pace. So it is a nice book and a good read, but I think you have to be in a mellow mellow mood to read such a sweet, nice book.

I think it would have made a better novella. Too repetitive, too much "my life is so terrible", "no, you're not.", "Yes, I'm a mess", "I'll wait for you.", "I can't ask that of you"... it just drug on too much for me.

I enjoyed this book far more than book 3. There was more depth to the characters and the personal struggles they were dealing with.

My Review:
This is my first book that I've ever read by Teresa Hill, but I promise you, it won't be my last. *gah* This book was so good. If you have a thing for injured, vulnerable alpha heroes, you need to pick this one up! I promise you won't regret it.

This is book #4 in this series, but you absolutely don't have to have read the other books. I haven't and still LOVED this book. This book is about Grace. The baby of the family. The perfect beauty. The child with the charmed life. The one who made it to adulthood unscathed (unlike her siblings or parents). But you learn immediately that things have changed for Grace and she's struggling to maintain the facade that she's okay. Her husband of three years died in a car accident and she found out after the fact that their perfect marriage, wasn't. He was having an affair. But she's kept that knowledge to herself...how can you turn the world's idea of a man against him after he's dead, but that leaves her with all these feelings of hurt and anger with no way to vent them. And that's how she's finds herself escaping to the family cabin where no one wants to go. She just needs five days to herself to regroup.

But instead she finds Aidan. He's holed up in the cabin to recuperate from life threatening injuries he sustained while in Afghanistan. He's not in very good shape either physically or mentally. *sigh* I do so really love a wounded hero and Aidan absolutely was one of the sexiest I've ever read...LOVED HIM! I especially loved the fact that he kept kicking himself over the fact that he meets Grace now, when he knows that he's not at his best...in fact, he's about as bad off as he can be. He's suffering from PTSD, continues to reopen his wounds from his rebuilt pelvis, is not sure he'll ever have sex again, and just is pretty much numb to life. I also really ADORED the little scenes with his brother Tommy. Tommy met Grace once and fell instantly in love with her (the kind where he's really just totally infatuated with her beauty.) Tommy's quips about Aidan and his luck with women especially considering his physical condition were fabulous. They kept me giggling.

In fact the entire book kept me giggling. Neither one of these main characters are really in a good place mentally. That could make for really depressing reading, but Teresa Hill wove the story and the characters in such a way that you couldn't help but root for them. I loved Aidan's snarky inner-monologues. I loved Tink, the dog, and the full-blown character he brought to the story.

Overall it was really just a fantastic read. I loved the characters and I adored the story line...emotional and fun. This book gave me the perfect amounts of humor, emotion, and romance to make a wonderful book which will definitely be vying for a spot in my Top Reads of 2012.

I received a complementary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

synopsis:
grace has been the good girl all her life, and feels guilty that she wants more, because she has been so blessed. she can't remember her mother leaving them and then dying, like her older sister can. all she remembers is the love of her adoptive family, and she feels as though she has to repay that by living the perfect life, with no complaints. her husband died in a car accident, and grace discovered that he had been cheating on her. she is supposed to be meeting up with her in-laws on the anniversary of his death, but instead decides to go to her family's cabin on the lake. when she gets there, she finds it already occupied by aidan, who has be recuperating there, thanks to grace's brother, zach. grace doesn't want to go back to her real life, so they decide to share the cabin for a few days.

what i liked: i liked the fact that aidan was broken, and that there wasn't a miracle cure, he wasn't suddenly fixed. i liked that grace realized that she was very lucky in her life. the fact that these two unlikely people found each other at the right moment was sweet.

what i didn't like: the fact that grace felt that she owed the world something because her life had been so smooth and wonderful.

I just finished Five Day Grace. Once again Teresa Hill has done wonderful things through her writing.

This is the fourth book in the McRae series focusing on Grace the youngest adopted daughter of Sam and Rachel McRae.

Everyone thought Grace had the perfect life most called her Angel or Sunshine. Grace's life was far from perfect as she runs to the family cabin to find the secrets her husband has been hiding.

Aidan a military man recovering from horrific injuries is hiding out at the McRae's family cabin. it is there he meets Grace...

What a wonderful story of friendship, love and family. Teresa Hill's writing style pulls you in and keeps you there from page one until the very end.

I loved loved loved this book and recommend it to all. Once you read Five days Grace you will want to go back to the beginning where it all started in Twelve Days.

I thought this was a great book. It still wasn't as good as book 1 or 2, but probably as good as or a bit better than book 3. It basically has the same problem as book 3...the ending was just too rushed. The story is so good and so well developed and then bam...its like trying to jam everything in at the end, so the story development and character development suffers. It would have been nice to know where Aiden and Grace end up, at home in Baxter or does he join the FBI? what do they name their kids, how many do they have? What does Aiden's parents think of Grace? What does she end up doing with Luc's parents? Again, too many unanswered questions. Overall, still a great book.

Favorite of the series

I really love the whole McRae family series, but I was a bit surprised to like this one the best. Grace has always been the least interesting character to me, just a sweet, pretty little thing that no one ever has anything bad to say about, but with no depth. The author does a great job of getting inside her head in this book and letting you see that no one's life is perfect and that even the seemingly most blessed have legitimate burdens and insecurities. Aidan is a wonderful hero, of the military variety, but never becomes a caricature. Really a lovely book.

There really aren't words adequate to describe how wonderful this love story is! Aiden and Grace have both been hurt so badly, one physically and one emotionally. When they meet each other, they discover a kindred spirit and begin one of the sweetest, most heart-warming loves stories I've read in a long time. Aiden is an absolute dream of a guy! Thoughtful, considerate, and sexy as hell. Grace is all kindness and compassion wrapped up in a tough as steel package. I loved how there was attraction early on and it just continued to grow and grow as the story progressed. No angst. No pulling away from each other, just true, sweet love, And plenty of steam, too!

I really loved Grace and Aiden. Especially how much they helped each other and understood exactly what the other one needed. Loved her family reaction too. Loved Tink. The only thing I didn't like was that the book ended too soon, and there was no epilogue. But I have noticed that this is a Teresa Hill thing, all books of Teresa Hill I read so far end like this, with no epilogue. I really loved this series, and seems like this is the last book, though I hope there is more, cause I love this family. I will give her other books a try though.

Of all of this series, I would have to say that this one was my favorite! I loved the story of Grace. One thing it lacked was more of a reminder that Grace's husband had been the guy that followed her from France. This was such a fantastic read, didn't want to put it down. Wish there was more of this series. It was nice seeing how it all started and what happened to the kids. This is a good stand alone book but the series is well worth a read.

It was a really good book going through what grace and aiden have gone through and they are at their ultimate low and by chance they find each other and end up feeling safe together and helping heal their wounds together.
And another story about love concering all. Very satisfying book and good one to end the series.

This was the fourth book in this series and as far as I am concerned it is the last one. It was so strange the first two books were so good but the last two were in my opinion just too raunchy for me. There is a fifth one but not for me. If you like a lot of descriptive explicit stuff you may like these books but I will not read any more of them.

Beautiful love story.I love this book...Full of emotions and watching tender love grow. Sometimes the emotions in a romance novel is full of fighting and I love you, I hate you moments. This story is of a couple who know there is something there from the beginning and just let it grow..Love it!
