Although i've been shooting weddings for seven years, I still found many helpful tips from this book which I checked out from the library. My main complaint was the seeming lack of copy-editing. Some paragraphs had repeating sentences. Some sentences were repeated in later paragraphs. Some words were misspelled or used incorrectly. I wanted to get out my red pen and make marks!
This is a great book, a quick and entertaining read. Etienne's passion for wedding photography is apparent in everything she does from her images to her knowledge of the business. She makes what I already knew about this business even clearer. A must-read for anyone wanting to shoot weddings. This is a 5 star book!
While her fantastical photography doesn't always hit the spot for me, Elizabeth Etienne manages to hit the core of how a wedding photographer should be thinking and offers a great number of tips over the usual wedding photography 101 books. While she relies very heavily on her assistants, there is no reason a solo shooter can't pick up a lot of information from this book.
Really fantastic book for any photographers aspiring to do weddings. She is an engaging writer as well as clear and concise! I think this book should be required reading for all existing wedding photographers as well as students or pros hoping to make the transition.
I found this book very entertaining, super informative and easy to understand. Elizabeth;'s work is amazing and her insider information explains how she gets paid top dollar for what she doesn. A must read for everyone!
