When I was in middle school, I DEVOURED these books. Looking back, they were ridiculously shallow and superficial, not to mention poorly written to adapt to teenage standards/language, but teenage girls get sucked into them easily.

These books are great for middle school girls who love fashion and girly girl talk. I started with the first book back in the fifth grade and now I am a junior in high school and I am addicted.

I hope it’s not just me and everyone has books they are embarrassed to have read (and enjoyed) once upon a time. For me, it’s these and the Twilight series. Why, younger me? WHY?! The girls in this series were the worst. I’m surprised my parents let me read these books. At least they also let me read Nancy Drew.

Miss Massie Block and her in-famous come backs. Thats what you take out of this series, you'd find them literally every 3 pages, they're everywhere!

i.e. "Kristen, why don't you send me a postcard from Morocco?" "It sounds like your swimming in de-Nile."

Effortless yet so cunning, Massie Block's comebacks are symbolical of all The Clique series is, quite literally a joke that you laugh about maybe, once, and then move on to something better.

Recommend: As I read this when in middle school, it served its purpose, a middle school read, that maturing girls get hooked onto, evidence in how many of these endless books there are! And I thought the Summer Series was going to be a stretch for Lisi, I guess not, she's still got more Massie-backs in there!

I LOVE this series!!!!!! These books got me through some hard times. I remember staying up all night; reading, just because I needed an escape from all the drama in my life. I'm a guy and I became totally engrossed by the story and the characters in this series. I literally read 2 or 3 of these books in one day because I couldn't put 'em down! Even though the girls in this book are stuck up...everything about them is true to life. Some reviews on here are bad simply because people don't like the characters but these books are written amazingly and I seriously don't know if I would've been able to get through a lot of tough times without being able to escape to the world of Massie and her clique.

love, love, love this series. It honestly is kind of a superficial book and whatnot, but it's just a fun read. Massie's comebacks are the best! I really enjoyed the entire series, but I thought the ending in the last book (A Tale of Two Pretties) was kind of.....interesting. I was definitely not expecting it to end that way, but after thinking about it, it does seem to be a suitable ending.

This set of books, while somewhat far-fetching, it PERFECT for the middle school set--drama included for free! It was recommended to me by a student and now I'm hooked! I can't wait for more to be published! OMG!

I love these books. They are awesome! There's all of this drama going on and they're all rich and fabulous...kind of like the lives we all want, right? I read them first, then I got, like, 5 of my friends on to it too. All in all, I love the Clique!

I read this series as a kid, and quite liked it. It wasn't anything brilliant, but it didn't take itself seriously, either. The books knew they were light entertainment and didn't strive to be anything else. They're funny escapism for middle schoolers.

OH THE MEMORIES. Kuh-laire loving Cam with his different colored eyes, Massie and her bean, Alicia and the endless reminders that she had a c-cup, Dylan who jus wants to eat and be skinny (even though she already is) and Kristen who was the brains and the athlete of the group. Good times

The clique is a series that contains all the hidden secrets and gossip in the grade. Massie and her side kicks devote life to making everyone else miserable. Her and her rich friends all have secrets. Read to find them out.
