Playing with pain can put you in a world of hurt…or bliss.
Delta Heat Series - Book 3
Playing switch in front of a La Forge BDSM club audience was supposed to be a one-time fling. A favor for a friend. Instead, when Craig Eason realizes he’s caught the attention of an enigmatic, powerful Dom across the crowded room, he senses this could be the man he’s been looking for to test the boundaries of his own sexuality.
Firefighter Aiden Byrne is a very private man with strong S&M longings he keeps in check for everyone else’s safety. His sub, Jennifer Callum, thinks she likes it rough, but he can’t let go the way he’d like to. Until one defiant stare from the handsome cop on the La Forge stage causes Aiden’s most dangerous needs to uncoil from the deepest, darkest part of his soul.
With the blessing—and active involvement—of his sub, a seduction is set in motion that ends in a scene that shakes them all to the core…
Contains a powerful, burly firefighter who plans to take everything a hot cop thinks he knows about himself and send it up in smoke. Please replace the batteries in all your smoke detectors before reading this book. Contains scenes with m/m/f, m/m, spanking, flogging, restraints, and one wild orgy of pleasure.

Another sizzling novella in this BDSM/menage series. Very low angst, just kinky people finding the right partners. Lots of bondage, impact play, and voyeurism.
I swear Delilah Devlin’s Delta Heat series needs to come with a warning that says, “Reading this book will make your panties fall off, keep your significant other or BOB close by to see to your immediate needs.” I’ve enjoyed the first two books in this series, but A Perfect Trifecta is just that, perfect. How can you not love a hot as hell switch police officer who attracts the attention of another hotter than hell DOM fireman and his subbie? Put these three together and you should now understand the why this book needs a warning label.
What I love about this series is that we continue to see the people involved in the earlier books and we’ve seen the key players before. We also get introduced to new people as well and Delilah has a way of hooking you so you simply can’t wait for the next book. That being said, you can absolutely read each book as a standalone but I think you’ll gain more enjoyment if you read the books in order. I personally like knowing the background on the characters and what has happened with them previously.
Craig Eason is a cop, he loves his job and he enjoys the people he works with. He also enjoys playing at the local BDSM club, La Forge. He’s discovered he’s a switch and he thinks he’s come to terms with his needs. He’s “played” at being a submissive but he’s come to realize that he wants more than play.
Aiden Byrne is a top notch DOM with a sub, Jennifer Callum, who will do anything for him. Aiden longs to find someone who matches his S&M longings and in his heart, he can’t and won’t do that to Jennifer. Jennifer realizes she can’t meet all of Aiden’s needs so she orchestrates a meeting between the two men hoping they can both find what they need. Her one fear, will she be left out once they admit their feelings for each other.
While this is a fairly short story, it’s got a lot of depth and emotion something you don’t always find in books of this nature. I found myself so thoroughly wrapped up in this story and hoping that these three would be able to work things out to everyone’s satisfaction. Craig despite being a switch is very much an alpha male and just as hard headed as Aiden. Jennifer, while submissive, likes to try and top from the bottom so this makes for some very interesting incidents. It’s always interesting when a couple introduces a third into their relationship, there’s a period of adjustment in which things don’t always seem to work. What I enjoyed is that they have friends who give advice and they listen. They figure out when they need to back off and when they need to move forward.
This is one very hot and sexy story and contains a lot of BDSM scenes and includes M/M/F and M/M scenes. It was very easy to like these three characters and feel concerned about the outcome of their situation. Delilah Devlin has written a masterful story in A Perfect Trifecta. I found it to be enlightening and entertaining, not to mention stimulating. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the next book in this series!
Shadow gives A PERFECT TRIFECTA 2.5 Stars A Perfect Trifecta promised more than it delivered. Don’t get me wrong, this is one hot novella, but I felt as if the emotion between the trio was lacking.
Jenn is in love with Aiden, but he can’t bring himself to be as sadistic with her as he needs to be. She sees his attraction to Craig and brings Craig into a scene with her and Aiden to see if having a male submissive will provide Aiden what he needs.
I guess I just didn’t like Aiden. I found him cold, and felt he didn’t make a real emotional connection with either of his subs, but especially Jenn. I also didn’t like the way he humiliated her as punishment or his lack of aftercare for either Jenn or Craig. And the epilogue left me cold-the author should have ended this at the last chapter: a full blown orgy doesn’t demonstrate the emotional ties the trio allegedly feels. Be warned, this book has M/F/M, M/M, F/F, and more.
This story is a bit different because the m/m interaction. I'm not usually interested in two males, but this is done well. The feelings are deep, the characters strong, and story moves along. It is not too big on romance, but big BDSM action. It is a different lifestyle that works it's way into their everyday life. Worth reading.
This story is very well written. It involves an element of BDSM that is not widely talked about. It's a mênage involving two men and a woman. I really enjoyed it. Deep feelings were involved. All three people had a lot to learn about themselves and each other. All in all, a great story. I can't wait for the next Delta Heat book! Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.
This series just keeps getting better and sexier as it goes. This trio makes you want to be a fourth! I love to read about a confident man that doesn't care what anyone thinks and loves who he wants along with a woman who is not intimidated by the male and shares in the love of both men. While reading I though my panties were going to melt off! I can't wait to see how much hotter the series goes!
Basically, a series of sex scenes with shallow, often vague, emotional content that should have been rich and exciting, given the complex situation.
And there was no HEA as the dom male lead's issues were left mostly unexplained and unresolved.
On the positive side, the female lead was quite a charmer, the friend circle was lovely, the smut was pretty hot and the final party scene was hilarious.
Only recommend if you are looking for a shallow mainly smutty read.
This story contains MF, MFM, and MM. if there is one you are not comfortable with then I would move on. Get ready for a hot hard fast ride. Jenn feels that Aiden needs someone he can be rough with when having sex. She points him towards Craig. Did she do the right thing, or did she push to hard too fast? Can they make something lasting between them?
A PERFECT TRIFECTA is the third in Delilah Devlin’s Delta Heat series. Aiden, is really the “classic” alpha dom, and Jennifer loves him dearly but knows she doesn’t meet all of his needs. When she sees Craig, inspiration strikes, and she hopes he’s exactly what all of them need…
“A Perfect Trifecta” by Delilah Devlin is the third story in her spicy ‘Delta Heat’ series and starts with a quick recap of one of the sensual scenes from “Fournicopia” but changes the focus to the sexy cop, Craig, who participated in a pivotal menage at the BDSM club La Forge with Aislinn and his friend and coworker, Gus. Craig discovers that he has unacknowledged dark desires including an attraction to an obviously dominant male who is relatively new to the club. A taste for pain and submission leads Craig to explore a relationship with the fireman Aiden and club manager Jenn but Aiden has to determine how far he is willing to push the two who don’t seem to fear his harder edge the way he fears himself.
Wow! A very hot story that will keep away those winter chills as the inventive doms and subs who frequent the same BDSM club continue to explore each other’s limits. There is quite a range of sexual activity explored including sadism and masochism as the dance of attraction plays out between two determined males who are encouraged by the woman who loves and wants to submit to them both. This author definitely knows how to pen a scorching and stimulating tale that provides insight into the various men who protect and serve in their professional lives and play hard in their personal relationships. A very entertaining (and eye-opening) addition to the series.
This is the first Delilah Devlin book I've read, but it won't be the last. Although it's a fairly short read, it packs a lot of punch and drops you right into the action in the very first pages.
Devlin doesn't waste time -- she introduces you to Craig at a BDSM club where he's assisting with a scene involving his friends Ash and Gus. Craig notices his friend Jenn, who's there with a guy, Aiden, who attracts Craig's attention.
It's too bad that the author didn't make time to let us get to know the characters better, since some of their thoughts and actions didn't seem realistic. For example Aiden, a sadist, seems to get over his concerns about a relationship with Craig and Jenn too quickly to be genuine.
However, there's lots and lots of steamy sex between/among these characters, and the Aiden/Craig scenes are extremely hot.
It probably would have been better if I'd read the earlier books in the "Delta Heat" series first, since you meet these characters in those books, and may help give them more depth than you get from this book alone.
An excellent installment in the Delta Heat series from Delilah Devlin. Craig is looking for a relationship with someone who can fulfill his masochistic needs. Jenn is looking for someone that her Dom and boyfriend, Aiden, can unleash his strength and sadism on, since he absolutely refuses to do so with her. Aiden isn't looking for a relationship of any kind, and keeps his heart well-guarded from entanglements.
Maybe if they all play their cards right, they can find something really special.
Be warned, this is a BDSM book with humiliation, exhibitionism, voyeurism, mm, ff, mfm, mmf, impact play, etc.
So this entry in the series actually is a long-term menage. My only complaint about it was that Adrian's "turn-around" seemed to be a little abrupt. He got with the threesome program pretty quick.
And I didn't get the connection about his need to be more harsh and the addition of Craig into the relationship. The Adrian needing to be harsher was brought up so many times but didn't get the harsh behavior to Craig. Just an observation.
Craig switches helping out a friend. In sub position, he discovers two things; he is enjoying what he's doing & he's attracted to a handsome, compelling Dom across the room. Could this be what he wants?? Ms. Devlin has a way of bringing it all together.
Between the three of them, Aiden & His sub Jennifer, adding Craig can they become a unit? Be what each other needs? Then add the gang? They are a crazy fun loving bunch!!
I probably would have rated this higher, but the ending felt extremely abrupt to me. And not quite...right. Like I didn't completely believe this trio would be happy together. The sex was super-hot, but for the length of the novella, there was to much for me. I wanted to see more non-sex interactions with the three main characters. That would have probably helped me believe them getting an HEA.
So, of course I loved Craig and Aiden. I basically put up with Jenn and Aiden. Worth the read for the fire-guy and the cop, if the girl has to be there, too...so be it.
Short, hot, no BS mystery/crime to solve here, thank goodness. Not much story line, just enough to get us from one scene to the next.
3.5 stars. I'm not sure why but I didn't connect with this story as much as the others in the series. I usually love a bit of man on man. I guess I didn't feel the love from Aiden all that much.
Still as scorchingly hot as the others though. And well written to boot. Looking forward to the next book.
A Perfect Trifecta is Delilah Devlin's third book in her Delta Heat series. This is a seriously hot read so be warned. I've liked Craig from the first book so I was happy to read his story, definitely did not disappoint. If you like spicy reads, I highly recommend this series.
This is a good read. While I liked Craig and Jenn, I didn't like Aiden very much. I just didn't connect with him. I guess he is not my kind of Dom. Still worth a read if you enjoy BDSM erotica.
started off slow, but there is a reason.. never thought I would be extremely turned on by m/m/f dynamics of their relationship. whatever you heart desires and makes you happy.
