Officer Williams, on the way to confront Tib's mother, Christabel, finds a homeless man living in the house down the street from Tib. What strange secret will he find at the bottom of that?
The author has often been told that he does things the wrong way. For instance, he could walk before he could crawl. His parents were also informed that he went about reading the wrong way. Already reading before kindergarten, he went on to delve into texts about dinosaurs and astronomy by 1st grade as opposed to the regular story books everyone else was reading. At least one school counselor labeled him as "delayed" because of this. Of course, this happened at the same time he was winning the school reading contest.
After years of wanting to, he's finally writing books of his own.
This installment of the Shadow Spinner introduces the villain, and he's not your typical baddie. Frankly, even just the description of his appearance gives me the chills. His introduction leads to a very sudden change in the story, which I won't spoil, and implies that something bad is going to happen. It's dark, suspenseful, and even a little scary. A must read installment in this series.
I was so happy to see that this section was longer than the others and the story picked up steam again. The new cover is compelling and lends suspense to the events of the chapter. I am excited to keep on reading! Definitely one of my favorite chapters so far!
One of my favorite of the several great installments to date. We get to meet the kindly officer and see Tib's mom some. It's truly classic storytelling.
