I picked up this book at the gathering at Singing Wind bookstore in Az.A local author who wrote "Pleasant Valley War" a non fiction also wrote this fictional book. Its an interesting book for readers who enjoy reading about frontier life in the southwest. Its filled with info about living on the trail and the life of the Apache. I felt that the author had gone a little overboard on his villians0there were lots of them but probably affords more action than the everyday struggles of ranching and traveling in those times.
