Vitorino “Click” Coglinaese shouldn’t feel more at home in a war zone than he does in his own backyard. But when you earn yourself a nickname like Click, the only sound the enemy hears before you strike, transitioning back to civilian life is a more insurmountable task than any combat mission. Click knows his family is longing for the kid who left for boot camp six years ago, but now he finds himself feeling like a stranger amidst his loved ones. The only thing strong enough to pull him back to Sturbridge, Tennessee is knowing one of his four sisters is in trouble. Can Click fight his nightmares and haunting memories long enough to save his sister? Can Jordan, the woman he loves, help him navigate his way toward peace with his family? Or will facing home be the one fight Click can’t win.
Writing is a way to make a lot of different people do exactly what you want them to do. When I can’t get my toddler to listen to me, I turn to my characters. They always cooperate!
I currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my husband and seven year old son. I have perfected the ability to write in a noisy house and create story lines while folding laundry.
Ten Things to know about me:
1. I have a fear of whales. All whales. The noise they make. The sight of them (even on tv). I don't think this phobia has a name and I've never met anyone else who feels this way. I blame it on the 3D movie when I was 7 at the Boston Museum of Science. (Thanks Dad.)
2. When I get hungry it brings out the worst in me. My friends and family know to keep me well fed. They pack snacks now.
3. I can cook but not bake. Not even a little. Not even a box of brownies.
4. If there is a song I like it is normal to hear me listening to it a hundred times (give or take) in a row.
5. I do not, under any circumstances, read directions. Who has time for that? Making mac & cheese by the seat of my pants for the last 25 years.
6. Like a black-out drunk, I have lost hours of my life mysteriously to Pinterest. If you haven't tried it yet... don't. Save your self.
7. Before I became a mother, lots of things grossed me out. Now nothing does.
8. My favorite food is food... my least favorite food is no food. I love food. (apply the same rule to wine)
9. I do not have a green thumb. I have the kind of thumb that kills any type of plant ever given to me. Whatever kind of thumb that is... I have it.
10. Writing has changed my life. Not just the career it's created but the way I feel when I write. If you have something you love to do I hope you get the opportunity to do it.

How do I put into words a review for a book that so touched me? I've been thinking of for days. This book in The Clover Series is so appropriately named, absolutely outstanding, riveting and emotional. Click and Jordan are such incredible characters, the reality of them jumps off the pages into your heart from page one. Only Danielle Stewart is able to do that in my opinion. She's done it with every single book she's published and I wouldn't miss reading any of her work.. Danielle is the most amazing author I know of in being able in her writing to truly make that FULL connection with a reader. You get to know the characters and scenes in the most perfect detail. She takes on real life issues, bringing awareness to them in a true realistic way, not shying away from the bad/good of these issues but so very TRUE to them. I'm choked up writing this, she does it every single time to me. There are comments, situations, etc that I've experienced in my life that are somehow captured in every book, including this one. You will NOT be able to put this book down once you start reading, it's such a page turner. You'll experience quite an emotional journey, finding yourself fully invested in these characters. You'll laugh, cry, be mad, happy, you name it. This is an absolute MUST READ. SHE'LL HAVE YOUR HEART WITH THIS AS SHE DOES MINE. I can't wait for the next in this series that is "home" to me. I can't explain that but if you've read her work, you WILL know what I mean. Being back with characters and places that mean so much to you. Danielle you remain on the pedestal I have you on. You ALWAYS deliver brilliant writing to me!
I loved this book. It held my interest throughout the entire book. I read it in one day. It centers on Click a retired Marine special service op. He returns home to Tennessee to help because one on his four sisters is in trouble. He has always been there for family when they needed him. He takes his girlfriend, Jordan with him to meet his Italian family. Click's mom is a very outspoken woman and can be quite intimidating when meeting new people especially her baby boy's girlfriend. The scene at his home is overwhelming to say the least. Three sisters with their husbands and children and his mom and dad and a new dog. His mom is not happy because they are staying at a hotel. He learns about his sister, Bianca dancing in a strip club. She is now single and raising her two children. He wants to know why.Jonah has left his family and not told anyone why. Jonah has been like a brother to Click. This story will hold your interest. I think you will find it as exciting as I did. Good job Danielle
This was a good story about Click and his girlfriend Jordan. I thought his family was funny, even though his mother was a pain in the butt. When one of his brothers-in-law gets into trouble, Jordan and Click jump right in to help him, getting caught up in the same trouble. They work together with the police and the FBI. This was a good book with a good ending. This just isn't your typical love story. It's also is a mystery. . So …. Give it a read. You will be glad you did.
These books have it all! Intrigue, love, who done it, family and never ending friendships. Devin is a great character and is someone we all could know. Things went wrong and he fought through the bitterness to find himself on the other side with Rebecca by his side. The friendships that become family are heartwarming. From Luke and Olivia, Click and Jordan and a crazy Italian family, When you read Danielle Stewart’s books it’s liking making new friends.
This book is a great read. Click and his girlfriend Jordan have a great relationship. This family is something else and his mom is a hoat as a pain in the butt. The story held me interested from the first word. Anything that Danielle Stewart write about will be an excellent read. I love everything she has written. Job well done.
First time reading Stewart books.. Enjoyed her writing looking forward to reading her other series. Would loved to had a book 5 and 6 in the Clover series.
I really liked getting a better understanding of what our service people go through when they come home from a war zone. The family dynamics made me laugh . Very enjoyable read.
A suspenseful story about how powerful love is. Not only does it change these characters, but, it gives them strength to show up and fight for their love. well written as Danielle always does.
Facing Home takes off where the Hearts of Clover series (Half My Heat, Change My Heart, and All My Heart) leaves off. This story follows Click’s and Jordan’s blossoming relationship as Click goes home to face his big, loud, Italian family in crisis after hearing one of his sisters is in trouble. The ex-marine has avoided home until now and brings Jordan along for support. With help from Jordan and their friends in Clover he must find a way to protect his entire family from someone who is killing people in order to keep a nasty corporate secret from being exposed.
This truly is one of my favorite Danielle Stewart books because these characters are so real. Click’s big, crazy Italian family manages to be humorous even in midst of crisis. These characters will really resonate with anyone who grew up with crazy family dynamics or like me, with an only brother in a house full of girls. Click’s a tough marine with a soft spot for his family even though he couldn’t wait to get away and never stays home for very long. Growing up in a houseful of sisters has equipped him with special tactical skills to understand his sister’s female minds and emotions. His marine skills kick into action to help protect his entire family from harm.
Sunday dinner with Click’s family is something you don’t want to miss. ~JDM
Facing Home is book 4 in the Clover series by Elena Aitken. It is a really good book but easy to read. It only takes a couple of hours. You get caught up in the action and don’t want to put it down. Click has finally decided to go home to Sturbridge, Tennessee. It is only because one of his four sisters is in trouble and his father asked for his help. He doesn’t really want to go home for any length of time. His Italian family makes everything more difficult. His Mother wants to know every small detail of his time in the Marines while his Father just tries to ignore it. His sisters are mad at him for not being there for their weddings or birthdays or other celebrations. However, this time his homecoming is different, he is bringing Jordan with him. He hopes she won’t run upon first meeting his family and that she will be the calming influence he badly needs. The love he feels for Jordan surprises him and her. He never thought of finding a love like this and she definitely was not seeking it. When they get home, they find out Bianca is the one in trouble. It seems her husband, Jonah, has taken all their money, left her the house and the girls and disappeared. No explanation was given. Click finds it hard to believe as Jonah has been in love with Bianca since high school. He stands as Click’s unofficial big brother. Click cannot believe he had changed so much. First, he has to find out why and goes to see Bianca. Bianca has moved to a nearby town to take a job at a strip club. She is only serving drinks; but knowing she is in the strip club at all makes Click see red. Only Jordan is able to calm him down enough to keep him out of trouble. He finds Bianca knows nothing about what would cause Jonah to go off. Obviously he must find Jonah. He calls Luke for help and tracks Jonah down to a rundown motel. He finds Jonah is being tailed and creates a diversion to get the men watching Jonah away. The next morning he arrives at the motel to find Jonah being beaten up by two men who want something from him. Click gets Jonah away from the men and literally makes Jonah tell him what is going on. This is just the start of an adventure no one imagined. It leads to New York City and the EPA, AFT, and an old flame of Jordan’s. What will happen? What do they want? Will they get out of this alive? It is definitely a thriller.
Danielle never disappoints me with her books. Facing Home is book 4 in The Clover series, and she knows how to keep it exciting and fresh. Although the this is in a series you could read it as a stand alone and be able to catch up with the thought of the past. This book unlike the first three in the series doesn't revolve around Clover. It starts out in Tennessee and then works north to New York. Facing Home lets you get a closer look at Click and Jordan and their relationship. While we do get to meet Clicks family and the drama of the story starts there. It makes a turn into a bigger problem that takes them to New York to get help. Going back Jordan steps back into her old life and realizes how much she she has changed since she left and first went to Clover. As always with Danielle's story's they are sweet love stories dramatic suspense to finish of with a HEA.
I so enjoyed this book! I loved Click and Jordan from the earlier books and was so excited that they got a book of their own! I liked the dynamics of Click's family, and I'm glad that the author didn't brush over the difficulties that Click was having acclimating to civilian life. I also really liked Bianca and Jonah!
My only complaint is that I wish there was one more chapter before the epilogue. I get what the author was doing, but I would have liked to see those scenes. I'm so sad the Clover series has come to an end!
I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Action packed, emotionally charged, keeps you on edge - twists and turns - hang on for the ride of your life! A book that works your mind and touches your heart. So far the best book in The Clover Series - keep them coming Danielle. Highly Recommend - AWESOME!!!!!!
Click story was beautiful and heartbroken. My great respect for our military people. This books tells a lot about lack of communication and knowledge. Courageous people are the one who can see themselves as humans, and humans are not perfect and sometimes need help. Great job!
Danielle stewart has yet again written such an amazing series. I loved every installment of the Clover series and felt by the end of facing home I was in clover with them included into their mad families. Such a talented writer who makes you feel every emotion possible with the turn of every page
What a great conclusion to the series!! This book was the best one. I loved the storyline, I loved meeting Click's crazy family!! I hope to hear more about them soon. This was a great series!
Facing Home is a great addition an already awesome series! Click and Jordan are great together. There are a lot of twists and turns along there journey, but can they stay alive?
