I usually wait to read a series until all the books are complete so I can read each one back to back- I am glad I didn’t wait for the complete Apotheosis Trilogy. I started Hell’s Reaping and was not able to put the book down. The first few pages were a tad gory (and well written) but soon the plot thickened as the characters revealed depth. I enjoyed getting to know each character and felt that I was in a partnership with them as they battled their inner demons as well as the demons from hell. The depiction of hell was unlike anything in my imagination but was believable, and above all, a made for a great story. The main Templar’s were male and the book includes a cast of strong, female warriors; which I definitely hope continues in the trilogy. I felt that each character, even the Fallen Angels, showed bits of humanity which made it interesting to connect with them either in their ‘good’ or ‘bad’ aspects. I can’t wait for the rest of the books to come out so I can continue the journey with Jacob, Piotyr, Han, Joshua and Kasim.
