Short action packed and really shows the differences in skill between our MC and the Bluesman. However, together, they have formed a partnership which is allowing them to grow. Magicians from their world are powerful but arrogant, and it shows. An interesting addition of introspection and looking back. Then again, it does feel like a round the campfire conversation put into story form, which is a benefit to this series.
