This story is about a day in the life of Trevor LeRoche, a Security Guard for a Geo-Thermal power plant, the second largest in the world. He hates working the night shift and basically is bored all the time. One night an earthquake takes place soon after they turned on a new plant; all the lights went out and phone lines were down so at the guard post where Trevor was working became a very dark, lonely, scary place.

This little short story has all the makings of an episode of "The Twilight Zone", or "X-Files". If you want a short read that is pretty scary, this one is for you!

Post 2 deals with the regular routine work of a security guard at a geo-thermal plant. Things are pretty much mundane until an earthquake changes everything. It unleashes the danger from underground, and then all hell break lose for the security guard. The story is pretty much scary enough, but there are also lighter moments. I would like to add a warning that there's a liberal use of curse words, but it pretty much complements the nature of the protagonist. Post 2 is definitely worth a read.

A good short story about a security guard working in a geo-thermal plant and the events following an earthquake. He has to battle against something which has been unearthed and comes to the surface via a pipe. The ending is good as it suggests something more to come!
