I'm starting to understand everything in this series. I have a few questions that need to be answered, but most of the questions I had were answered. I feel like the reason why I was confused was because of the way the volumes are organized. In the middle, there would be a chapter that is funny and has a bunch of characters playing games. Since this is in the middle of the story, it might've been the reason for why I was confused. Also, I didn't understand the concept of reincarnation in this series, and I think that everything is a little clear to me.
Ririchiyo is a girl who was born into a wealthy lifestyle because of what she was. Although she got whatever she wanted, she was always lonely and was never loved by her family. Whenever she made friends, things always ended badly and everyone got hurt. Since this has happened, Ririchiyo began to lash out at people, using it as a disguise for herself so that no one will ever get hurt and she could be alone. Later on, she moves into Maison de Ayakashi and meets so many others who are willing to be there for her. Everyone is friendly and they are all like her, but is she willing to accept their kindness?
This volume was a little bit lighter than the last volume, the last volume was so sad. I miss the good old days where everyone was the same and happy. But life is filled with changes and I guess I have to accept that. The characters are different, but still have a little bit of the same personality. They are all different from what they were in the previous volumes. But everyone is willing to accept each other.
I feel like the next volume is going to be painful because of what is to come. I'm super scared to pick it up, but I want to finish this series. After this series, I'm probably going to read something light and fun. Although this has a lot of fun and hilarious parts, most of it is sad and painful.
I recommend this series to everyone, but be warned that this is a tragic story that will have you in tears. I'll be off to read more of this series, hopefully everything turns out okay.
Who are these two characters on the cover? Should I know them? Remember them from previous volumes? Sorry, I don't, and I have no idea what is truly going on, but this story is intriguing me, and so I am along for the ride.
The reincarnation of the characters is an interesting twist in the story, but I can't really distinguish how those who were reincarnated are any different from their past life. Despite age variances from their previous lives in relation to each other (ie Carta is much older than Watanuki where before they were the same age), they as a whole don't seem to be any different. They look the same, go by the same names, have the same personality quirks...perhaps that's why Ririchiyo's breaking of the contract with Soushi doesn't make sense. If she is different and he is different, then fine. But, if she is the same person as before and he is the same person as before, is it really wrong that she is still in love with the person that he was before? It's all a little confusing, including this review! :)
The Night Parade of 100 Demons and Inugami is another perplexing element in the story. First of all, I don't know what throw back Inugami is (and his name...could it be translated as dog god?), though my Japanese folklore is far from complete, so maybe it's obvious for the native reader. Regardless, Inugami is up to no good and I am curious to see what will happen next. My guess: he'll start up his night parade again, our cast will die again, and be reincarnated again, and perhaps in the next arc, they'll figure out how to stop it all from happening again.
Teda až na poslední díl, ten to naprosto zkazil, protože má žluté okraje a název, což nemá žádný díl, a bílé pozadí.
Sighhhhh. I will stick with this, because these are fast reads and I need to know what ends up happening with Soushi and Ririchiyo. But honestly... I kind of wish I'd just watched the anime and left it at that. =S Things could have gone SO many interesting directions, emotionally, after the end of Vol. 4, but I feel like the last three volumes have lacked any kind of emotional payoff. EXCEPT for one single scene between Ririchiyo and Sorinozuka. That was a good scene. *prays for more of that in Vol's 8-11*
This series just kills me. It makes me want to cry and rage and cry some more. I don’t understand how it can make me feel so many things at once, over and over again, every time.
We finally get to find out what Soushi is going through, whether he remembers or not. And I won’t dare spoil it, but it hurts so much. I just feel so terrible for him, and I want to hug and cry for him because of it.
That’s all I should say on that subject, lest I break and spoil everything.
Aside from that, we get more of Watanuki and Roromiya. We find out more about what Watanuki’s horrible friend is up to. There are a lot of scenes with the group who remember the past talking, and I just like their friendship. The humor is still amazing; I love the comic strips and extras. Even while dying inside, I laugh at every one of them. This group of characters is amazing, and I love every one of them. Everything in this series is done beautifully.
Even waiting three months for each volume is too long, but nevertheless I am on edge for the next one.
OK...MY THOUGHTS... So I've really enjoyed this. The whole time warp thing? Totally confused me, threw me for a loop...but just when I feel that I sort of UNDERSTAND... I get to the end of chapter 33... When they're preparing for the next 100-demon war thing... AND THEN THE ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS ARE DONE. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! -_- >unhappy >>>very And I got mad at Riricho [Chiyo-san] because she rejects Soushy Miketsukami because "we're different people" but NOT REALLY! And then he gets all lonely :( She could just learn to appreciate the new him! Jeez -_- TRANSLATORS WORK FASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need an ending! I need closure!
This is getting sadder. I feel so bad for Miketsukami. His story is miserable, and he deserves to be happy. All his life has revolved around his love and devotion for Ririchiyo-sama. I am still confused about a few things, like... is the present Sou different from the past? He is the reincarnation, but at the same time, they are not the same person? Why?
Chapter 31 & 32: Watanuki is extremely cute, and he makes me laugh. He tries so hard to be a delinquent, and is this new little guy a villain or not?
Although I don't understand some things, I love this manga.
DNF a few chapters in. Ririchiyo + Soushi was all I was reading for since I lost interest in the plot several volumes ago, so when the two of them apart meant very little Soushi (my favorite character) I lost complete interest in the book. Will not be continuing the series.
Oh, God, Sorunozuki is so sad with having seen all his friends' deaths and being all old-and-emotional(( His interaction with Riricho was a tearing moment... New Soushi was a mystery but now we know all about his "new" past. And nooooo!!! That little cute villain boy is returning!
Te story in the reincarnated lives are progressing. We're seeing the characters afresh; Riri and Mike end this vol on a sad note and although I understand why, I'm sad knowing it is so...
