In der Tat bin ich ein Neuling wenn es um historische und biografische Romane geht.
An manchen Stellen zieht es sich, zu sehr, an anderen empfand ich die verschwimmende Grenze zwischen Realität und Fantasie geradezu herzzerreißend. Härtling ist es hier gelungen mit trügerischer Nüchternheit einen packenden und äußerst emotionalen Roman zu verfassen.

Както показва заглавието,романът проследява тъмната,болезнена страна от живота на Шуман- неговото психично заболяване. Авторът успява да изгради вътрешна динамика на събитията, като редува епизоди от последните месеци, прекарани в психиатричната клиника,с ретроспекции от младостта и творчеството му. Макар и потискаща, книгата е хубаво написана и ми хареса.
