Many authors claim to have known their calling from a young age. Liz Schulte, however, didn't always want to be an author. In fact, she had no clue. Liz wanted to be a veterinarian, then she wanted to be a lawyer, then she wanted to be a criminal profiler. In a valiant effort to keep from becoming Walter Mitty, Liz put pen to paper and began writing her first novel. It was at that moment she realized this is what she was meant to do. As a scribe she could be all of those things and so much more.

When Liz isn't writing or on social networks she is inflicting movie quotes and trivia on people, reading, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family. Liz is a Midwest girl through and through, though she would be perfectly happy never having to shovel her driveway again. She has a love for all things spooky, supernatural, and snarky. Her favorite authors range from Edgar Allen Poe to Joseph Heller to Jane Austen to Jim Butcher and everything in between.

"Consequences" is a good read. It has you feeling a variety of emotions throughout the entire story. To be honest, I was rather annoyed with Oliva for about half of the book. She is very stubborn, and at times totally disregards other people's opinions, feelings, and advice. She would make Holden feel guilty for going back on their agreement, when she did so time and again. Despite my annoyance, I thought the series rounded our quite nicely. The whole series is definitely worth the read and I would recommend it to others.

The final book in the trilogy delivered on its promises. New characters added to the humor and suspense, and old characters developed in very satisfying ways. Yes, the "bad guys" were able to be detected before the end, but this did not detract from keeping the reader's interest - I still wanted to find out how everyone fared in the end. Disappointingly, there were the same few words that were incorrect (e.g. using 'lead' as the past tense of 'lead'), but overall this was a most fun and exciting read.

I really enjoyed this series. I think I like this even more than the Easy Bake Coven one. My one complaint is that that since the book is narrated by three different characters; it would be helpful at the beginning of the chapter to have who is narrating that chapter. Other than that, I would recommend this series to anyone who likes PNR or Urban Fantasy.

So much better than the last two. This book was well worth reading the others. This story was fast paced and well written. Still had grammar errors and missing words, but worth it for the amazing storyline and characters.

It's been a while since I read the first two books in The Guardian Trilogy, but I have been anxiously awaiting the moment I had some free time to finish up the series. You can check out my reviews for books 1 and 2 on my blog.

The Guardian Trilogy is about Olivia and Holden. Olivia starts off as a human. She is strongly desired by Hell and the Jinni paired with her soul has no idea why. The guardian (a very low level angel) assigned to her has to try to keep the Jinni from influencing her in any way. This is particularly difficult when Olivia and Holden seem uncontrollably drawn to one another. It takes the death of Olivia's best friend to help her see the evil that lurks there. Inevitably she is killed, but Olivia was destined to become a guardian. Her previous guardian becomes her trainer and the two of them begin investigating the disappearances of other guardians who happen to be located in Chicago, the city Holden now controls as the Jinn leader. This is a summary of everything up to this book.

In the third installment, Olivia and Holden are reunited and in love as strong as they ever were. They deny their feelings as much as possible because they are on opposites sides, but their feelings for one another lead them to work together to continue the search for the guardian traitor. Holden agrees to help in hopes of keeping Olivia afterwards in his life. You will be shocked what the two of them and their close group of ragtag friends discover. Olivia is special in so many ways that you will continue to be on your toes wondering how things will turn out. Holden has become unique to his kind as well, and not just because he appears to have control over guardian. You'll have to read the series to find out all the details. It's an amazing trilogy. I wish there was more to read.

I am a big fan of Liz Schulte's, having already read Secrets (The Guardian Trilogy) and Choices (The Guardian Trilogy) (you can read my review of Choices here). Consequences (The Guardian Trilogy) like its sisters, did not disappoint.

I especially enjoyed watching Olivia gain self-confidence with her new powers and learn to trust her own decisions. I also enjoyed Olivia and Holden's love/hate relationship. Don't worry, there is resolution in this, the final book of the trilogy, but it may surprise you.

Yet again, look for deception around the turn. One of the saddest parts of the book is Olivia's realization that there are few she can trust. No one is quite as they seem, good or bad. In fact, good and bad are not as clearly defined as Olivia (or the reader) may think.

Consequences is a very satisfying end to a passionate, unsettling series.

This is the final book in the Guardian Trilogy. I was sure I knew who the villain(s) were before the end, but was still slightly surprised at how it ended. Obviously this series was good enough for me to keep reading each book within 24 hours of purchasing each one!

This was incredible. I have not enjoyed reading a trilogy this much sent reading the Hunger Games & Nora Roberts Cousins O'Dwyer trilogies. Liz Schulte has been added to my all time favorite authors list. This trilogy had suspense, action, romance, mystery, drama, comedy and paranormal all rolled up in 3 books that were incredible stories. Her characters you feel you know personally and the best part is she brings them into her other series. Holden & Olivia I met in the Easy Bake Coven series that I read prior to this series and I was concerned about going out of order & reading this one knowing the outcome. But I was so absorbed by Liz Schulte's storytelling that I completing became so focused on what was going to happen next that I questioned what I thought I knew before I began reading this trilogy. A must read!!!!

I notice a trend with Liz Shult's abyss series...it takes forever to reach climax and then when you hit it...everything else snowballs toward the conclusion so fast. This book was no exception.

however, it was still a good read and i enjoyed the character development vs book 1.

I will still continue reading more books taking place with in the abyss...but the switching characters POV at each chapter...really irks me a times. One chapter it's from Holden's POV, then the next one is Olivia and then Quintus...i prefer my books to just keep first person POV to one person...

but that didn't mean i didn't finish the book because of that. I enjoyed the book thoroughly and there were times when I couldn't put the book down.

Olivia finally make her decision to be with Holden, but there is a lot of work to do. It gets even harder when the Angels and head of the Guardians has a beef with Olivia and the way she chose to live her life. Beyond they Trial to save her life, there are still guardians missing and Olivia knows their evil plan. With everyone trying to clear her, more trouble is happening right under their noses.

This is one of the best series I've read in a LONG time and I have to recommend it to anyone who wants to feel a full range of emotions.

I loved this series. Terrific characters, lots of unexpected twists & turns, suspense, mystery, humor, passion, and such an interesting plot. I really like how from chapter to chapter the story is told through a different character's point of view. Quick to read too!
The ending is fast-paced and caused me to stay up way too late last night finishing it. Love it when a book does that!
I do hope Liz Schulte brings us more of Olivia & Holden one day.

This trilogy was awesome! The whole read was a roller coaster of emotions! I no point did I want to stop reading this trilogy! I was sucked into this amazing world from the first few pages. A wonderfully laid out story that kept me wanting more. The supporting characters truly made this story. One of my favorite stories involving the underworld. I read this as my "trilogy" for the 2015 Reading Challenge! :)

Just "flippity danged dippity" amazing. Seriously one of the best ends to a most favorite series. While I have them on my kindle I also have the print copies (ALL 3!) so I will have these on my shelves forever. When I get lonely I reread to find my "friends" once again. A thick plot with strong twists makes for a compelling read! You won't regret a minute you spend on this series.

I got this one for free off Amazon (its still free). and I was in-between books so I thought I would give it a try. Its a typical story.. Opposites attract, forbidden love, controlling guy. Which is why I read all three books in 3 days - (they are pretty short. Sometimes it reminded me of Charmed (the tv show) but I tried to push that aside. I found I was reading them just to see what happened.

The final installment of the Guardian Trilogy offers a nice, fulfilling wrap up for Olivia and Holden. More twists and turns await their star crossed love affair, but in the end, you are left satisfied.

Holden really stands out as a character worth wanting to read more of as the series comes to an end.

This was the perfect end to a great series. I love how well Schulte pulls the reader into her world. You can't help but love Holden, even though he is as flawed as they come. Olivia is everything needed to bring about change, and the twists in her story are surprising. I can't wait to read more from this author.

It's pretty obvious what's going to happen, which made it rather boring. I also found the sex scenes too much and unnecessary, so I tended to skip those.

There are way too many grammar- and spelling mistakes in these books. They would benefit hugely by some proof reading.

Too chick-lit for me, although the concept is good.

Loved how this book wrapped up! I am even more in love with the characters than I was. Would love it if this series continued. Holden just blew me away, I mean really, he was an amazing character. I think I even liked him better than the main character Olivia. Great story from beginning to end!

Awesome conclusion to a great series.

The series overall had a mysterious build to it and capped off gorgeously! I had my suspicions - and was pretty close.

I enjoyed Holden and Olivia's company while they were together. Their connection is endearing.

This one wasn't as good as the other two, but I still enjoyed it. A lot of random twists and turns I wasn't expecting. I wish she had continued on with the series. The end left it to where it could possible be continued and I hope she takes advantage of that. Very much enjoyed the series.
