** JOSIE'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW **
This is the third book in the Entwined Series. I am going on the record here and saying Tangled Paths is by far the best one in this series. I love Ms. Flores writing. She has a way of writing a story with such passion and emotion that you feel a deep connection with the characters.
Josh and Bri’s story is an emotional journey where they each are dealing with demons in their past. Bri has loved Josh since college. She gave Josh a precious gift thinking she was special only to be left broken and shattered. Fast forward 7 years when their paths cross again. Josh has memories of a brown eyed girl but can’t remember much more then that since during that time in his life he was constantly drunk. Josh had left the Hollywood life behind and has settled in Santa Ynez California. When he sees a beautiful brunette at his vineyard he keeps seeing those brown eyes. This woman hates him and doesn’t give him the time of day.
With the help of some visiting friends, Josh finally remembers who Bri is and just how special the gift was that she gave him. Josh is not the same man he was 7 years ago. He lives a quiet life and wants to make up for the way he treated Bri. He remembers that he was comfortable with Bri and that she was special. Something he hasn’t felt in years. The author does an amazing job with showing the changes he has made over the years as well as his remorse for what happened all those years ago. You fall in love with Josh and can see just how nice of a man he is. Now that their paths have crossed again, Josh is determined to show Bri just how much he has changed and how much they are meant to be together.
“I’m sure you hate me and I can’t say I blame you, but can I please explain? Now that I know it’s you, I’ve gotta try to make up for this somehow.”
“That doesn’t matter anymore. It’s in the past and it’s over. The only thing we have to deal with now is that we’re going to keep running into each other.”
Ms. Flores created Bri’s character in such a way, that you really feel for this woman. Bri is strong, brave, tough, funny and even though her past is dark she is a fighter. Bri has been hurt before and the one person that is supposed to love her unconditional is the one that has done the worst damage, her mother. When Josh broke her heart, she thought she would never love again. She did not trust easily and never opened her heart to anyone else again. Eventually Josh and Bri forgive each other and slowly build a relationship. There is chemistry and sparks there but Bri just has to trust that Josh will not hurt her again. You can see and feel the true love these characters have for one another. I really could feel their passion, honesty and genuine love. Their relationship develops over time, nothing is rushed.

“Bri, you do belong. You’re important to all of us. You don’t even realize how much we all need you. And someday soon, I hope you’ll believe that you belong with me. Because I already feel like I belong with you.”

I will warn you, their story is hard and it will make you cry and scream but I am so happy with the final result. Josh and Bri go through a lot to be with one another with their trouble pasts, shocking family secrets and learning to trust one another. The author does not write their story to be all hearts and flowers. She gives us some grit and some angst because honestly what relationship does not take work. I honestly think that is why I loved this book so much. It felt real, I felt their emotions and pain and I got their story. I am, excited to see what Ms. Flores will come up with next. After reading all 3 books in this series, I just know it is going to blow be away. A definite must read.

What happens when the one guy you gave something special to trampled all over it and then years later when you run into him again doesn't even remember you? You become a real B*tch when he's around, and thats working out for Bri, if only her heart wouldn't flutter when he's around. And then when he rememers her, all bets are off.
Josh hopes she isn't who he thinks she is because he knows he treated her so wrong and never got to apologize. He was a real mess back then the craziness that came with being one of Hollywoods hottest, drinking every night and having a different girl every day. But there was always one who stood out, and now that their back in each others lives he wants another chance. But with so many past hurts, will she ever be able to forgive him and think of a future for them?
Bri is strong and capable on the outside, but inside she's been hurt so many times she's hardened her heart to anyone who might break it again. She can't deny the sparks between her and Josh, but will she able to open herself up to the possibilities? Between Josh and her mother she's on an emotional rollercoaster, but who will be there to catch her?
Josh had a rough go of things with his life in Hollywood, but now living on his Ranch he's at peace with who he is, but sometimes he feels like somethings missing. He's sweet and caring and when it comes to his family and friends he's there for them like they were there for him at his lowest.
Their story has it's share of up's and down's but the crazy is what it makes it all the sweeter when they begin to figure things out and come together to find happiness.

Oh my goodness! I absolutely loved Bri and Josh! I knew there was something going on when we first saw them interact in the last book. I couldn’t wait to read more about their history. Once I found out why Bri didn’t like Josh I understood why. I’m so happy that Josh got to explain what happened all those years ago. So happy to see that they got a second chance. Bri went through a lot and I’m glad she had Josh by her side. I loved how they both understood each other and that they were both their for one another. Josh was absolutely sweet and kind. I loved everything about him. Bri and Josh were absolutely perfect! The ending was really sweet! So happy they got their happy ending. 🥰❤️

ARC received from author for an honest review
I have loved this series from the minute I first started reading "It All Started with a Lima Bean", and I have to say, it just keeps getting better and better.
Tangled Paths is the 3rd book in the series, but it could be read as a stand alone - but why would you want to miss out on the two beautiful stories before it? Plus, it gives you a much better idea of the other characters and relationships.
So, we have known Bri since the first book, and we first met Josh during the second book, but this third book is their story right from the beginning.
And what a story it is! I was drawn in right from the get go. The beginning of Bri and Josh's "relationship" is not a pretty one. I may or may not have had a tear in my eye for one or both of them, and might have possibly mentally bitch slapped Josh numerous times!
As we get to the here and now, I could completely understand Bri's ill-feeling towards Josh. I know I would have done more than give him the stink eye!! But they do say that there is a fine line between love and hate and she is toeing that line pretty closely!
You can feel the tension between Bri and Josh, it jumps off the page at you. There is lust, attraction, confusion all thrown into a tight ball and BAM hits you in the face. I wanted to bang their heads together to tell them to get their act together, or throw them in a darkened room and see what happened!
Well, that sort of happened, but on an island not in a darkened room, but the results were pretty darn hot!
My heart broke over and over for Bri as we learnt more about the troubles she has with her mother. Gah!! Her mother is a 100% grade a BITCH! There was not one redeeming quality in that woman! It is a wonder that Bri is as normal, and (seemingly) unaffected as she is.
Josh, Josh, Josh. Oh how wonderful I think you are. Not so much the younger Josh, but I love the man that you have made yourself today.
So, can Bri and Josh move on from the past and have a beautiful future together?
Nuh uh, for that you are going to have to read for yourself!
There is a wonderful cast of secondary characters (who if you have read the previous 2 books you will already love). Love this motley crew of family and friends! And it goes to show that family is not just blood, it is the people who love you for who you are, as you are, warts and all. And this is a beautiful family they are creating.
Ms Flores' writing just keeps getting better and better. Tangled Paths is a lot darker than the other two books in the series, dealing with issues such as alcohol and drug abuse, mental abuse and the effects it has on it's victims. She deals with these issues sympathetically and you cannot help but feel for the characters
She has completely seduced me with this series, and now I am impatiently waiting for the next book in the series, Grafted Vines

Tangled Paths (Intertwined Hearts #3) by Kimi Flores

True love doesn’t always run smoothly and with a psycho mother and Bri’s physical health problems that was the case for her and Josh. Not to mention their one night of drunken passion five years earlier when Josh was going through his ‘zoned out’ phase and had only a fuzzy memory of their time together.
When they meet again Bri is instantly taken back to the time when he treated her so appallingly, so obviously she is cold and distant with him, but he has a hard time understanding why she is so standoffish, until his memory of that night slowly comes back to him and it dawns on him that he isn’t entirely blameless for her feelings toward him now.
Josh and Bri are more serious than the couple we read about in book two, An Exceptional Twist (the only other book in the series I have read). Stefan and Leah were light hearted and their story had more humour in it than Tangled Paths, which is a love story about two broken people learning to deal with their pain, understand their past and move on. It’s about second chances and hope for a better future and overall is a touching and enjoyable read.

I fell in love with this series from the very first book! Kimi has done an amazing job with the story of each charter that is brought in to these books. I have to tell you that I think Bri and Josh's story is the best so far. Kimi will have you falling so fast and hard for these two that you just can't get enough of them. These two show you a love that is destine to break even before they get started. Bri seems to not be able to find the perfect man, hurt and refuse to believe there is true happiness. Josh had the glamorous life that’s so many dream of yet it's not always so great. Having been through some hard times and just wanting to find his quite spot in life, he crosses path with Bri; who he can't seem to get out of his thoughts. These two are going to take you ride that show you just how much you can have in life if you just fight for it!
Looking forward to to see where Kimi takes us next!

Review for Tangled Paths by Kimi Flores

Bri Hunter fell in love with Josh Tucker, the gorgeous, famous, bad boy movie star.
After a night of passion, Josh kicks her out of his hotel room, leaving Bri heartbroken.
Josh Hunter had it all. Unfortunately his addiction to alcohol sent him on a downward spiral. Trying to get his life together, he moves to a secluded location to get away from everything.
Five years later Josh and Bri cross paths again. The fire between them is still there but Bri doesn’t know if she can trust him. Josh, however, will do everything he can to prove that he isn’t the same guy he was back then.
The book started off slowly but I am so glad I stuck with it. Josh is just unbelievably sexy and sweet. He is also funny and caring. I enjoyed reading about Josh and Bri. They are a fantastic couple.
The story picked up and there were quite a few wow and laugh out loud moments.

Received an ARC for an honest review.
First let me say that I haven't read the other books, so I don't know how those went. I will say after reading about Bri and Josh I will be reading the other books. I have to say this is about getting a second chance.
I laughed and wept a few tears. This book is refreshing, it shows that not all books need to have hot sex scenes. The spark between Bri and Josh happened when they first met. Like I said this is about second chances, over coming fears, and finding out truths. If you have read the other books you really need to read this one as well.

I have loved this series from the beginning, where you first get to meet Bri Hunter, and the stories just keep getting better.
Bri met Josh Tucker years ago and fell in love with him, after one drunken night he break's her heart. Josh doesn't understand why Bri dislikes him so much, as he can't remember ever meeting her. Tangled Paths by Kimi Flores is more than just a love story. It’s a story about finding one’s own inner strength to face the past, confront the present, and trust the future. It is a story of hope and forgiveness. Ms. Flores did an excellent job making you believe in her characters - the good and the bad. The story is smooth and full of drama with lots of love and a little quirkiness mixed in. I think this may be her best book yet, and I highly recommend it!

Stayed up until 3 A.M. reading this book. I couldn't put it down. This book about Bri and Josh was a pleasure to read. This is about love, forgiveness, and second chances. You can read these book as stand alone novels but once you start one, you will be hooked. I am anxiously awaiting Dani's book. I am a huge Robyn Carr fan as her stories pull me in, so do these Intertwined Hearts.

loved this book. I could not put it down. loved hearing more about Bri. my heart broke for her. so glad she was able to move on from her past. there were some parts that I skipped over cause they just didn't seem real or glossed over. its hard to explain. but I genuinely enjoyed the book. cant wait to read more from Kimi!

This was such a wonderful story. I have never read the other books in the series, but after reading this book I am going to go back and read the other books. This can be read as a stand alone. Bri not only has to face her past, but over come it. It's such a dramatic story and I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to get my hands on more of Flores's work.

Another great installment in the intertwined series! Once again great characters! The story shows us that love can conquer all, even time and distance. The characters experience heartache in different ways and help each other heal and become whole. Highly recommended! Can't wait for the final installment in the series!

What a wonderful story about forgiveness, and giving the one you love a second chance.

I haven't enjoyed a group of books this much in such a long time!
I even read them out of order, but I stayed up way late at night with each of them.

Man I had a love hate relationship with the characters in this book and with what this author did to me while I was reading it. We have seen glimpses of Bri in the other books but now that the light is on her we find out all this wonderful quiet soul has been through. Always wanting and searching since that night she has never let herself forget. How could she forget it when what started as oh so special ended in disaster. She had no idea she wasn't the only broken one. Josh has his own issues and has finally gotten his act together. The author shows us just how strong and lovable he is and how good these two are together. The strength and love they hold for each other and to get through all that comes at them and trust me it is a lot. They have a rough ride but find that true love endures, supports, loves without conditions, and the love from real family has no limitations.

This series just keeps getting better, pulled at the heart strings, loved Bri and Josh together, they were very alike, but in different ways, and hows that, a college crush that she thought was in the past and ends up being with...bring on Dani and Zach next!

Another precious read from this author. This is the third book in this series; each one has tackled some series topics with important life lessons thrown in. Each character makes some significant life changes and growth, which leads to happiness in the end. One of the things that I have enjoyed in this series, are the characters, and how we continue to build on the previous relationships, as the new ones develop. Bri, the cousin of Caleb ( from book 1) and her brother Stefen ( from book 2), has constantly struggled with her low self esteem, never feeling good enough or worthy, no matter how much Caleb and Stefen doted on her. The reader soon discovers that Bri has a volatile relationship with her Mother, which explains her feelings of doubt and low esteem. Josh is an ex-Hollywood heart throb, that celebrity got the best of, and bad decisions and behavior made a mockery of his life. Bri and Josh's paths had crossed when they were younger, which left the both hurt and vulnerable. Meeting each other years later, creates for the adventure of this read. It was nice to see where this stories has placed all our couples from the previous editions, along with setting up Dani's story. Leah is still my fav of the stories thus far, but something tells me that her sister Dani's will give hers a run for the money. This is a sweet weekend read, that will leave you feeling lighthearted and happy.
