Okay read

I liked this book better than the first one. Cuz she finally grew up and dumped Eric's cheating a**. I give this a two because from the ending of book three which I decided to not read since she went back to him. He cheated on her probably multiple times than what we as a reader are lead to believe that it was only two times but that was unrealistic. I hated it when the heroine gets cheated on and get treated like crap and she takes him back. That's book three according to the reviews. Am I glad I am stopping at this point. Can't recommend this book since it's pretty repetitive. They break up they make up and then he cheats then they make up. Not realistic at all. Cheaters will always be a cheaters especially if fame is added in. And no I have not been cheated on so this is just a pet peeved of mine.

I loved the first book and I am really shipping Emily and Eric until he started being an *ss lol. Anyway, it would be unfair for me to give this book less than 5 stars just because it broke my heart but it really was good and I can't wait for the third installment! (:

Ugh! I really wanted to like this book, and I will read the third one that comes out just so I know how it ends. But the dialogue on this book is just so...Ahhhh I can't even describe it. No one speaks they way they do in this book. What two year old speaks in complete sentences? It's just so formal and I just want to scream when I was reading it. I like the idea of the story but the execution could use work.

This book was definitely better than the 1st although I didn't like how formal Emily talked to Alex (her new boyfriend)!

I know I know I should wish for Emily and Eric to get back together now more than ever since they have an adorable girl!!!
But to tell you the truth Emily deserves better. I know people make mistakes but seriously how can you repeat the same mistake
" fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!"
I felt that Eric really didn't appreciate what he had. Like Emily was taking care of their daughter Emma and trying o pass her college courses and trying to fulfill her dream of being an artist and Eric wasn't even around most of the time to raise Emma and he had the time to cheat on his caring fiancé !

I'm glad Emily found Alex he's a real gentleman although I am disappointed to see Em an Eric breakup!!
But I woman's gotta run after her dreams and feel respected right ?!

When NA books were first brandished...they offered variations and entertained...cheating, abuse, simpering virgins, unplanned pregnancies, indiscriminate sexual exploits...the options were unlimited.

Now this genre has lost its lustre and storylines are tarnished with far fetched drama over-saturating the market.

Hopefully readers will begin demanding more than regurgitated drivel. This book depicted everything that can be misinterpreted, an immature, insincere Hero and a heroine willing to forgive his innumerable transgressions.

Very disappointing - I really liked the 1st book but then came this sequel and dismissed it...If the pattern continues the 3rd book will knock down what was supposed to be "the everlasting love..." from the 2nd book.
Anyway...that's why majority of books should be stand alone novels. Captivating stories were ruined by a queue of flat sequels!

I knew Eric was going to cheat on her and break her heart. Only a few select guys can keep in their pants against those odds and so far, he wasn't too good at it. I love the fact that Alex came along, he sounds great but has a super possessive streak in him that leaves me in between wary and turned the heck on. hah.

UGHHHH! I loved the first book in this series and can't wait for the 3rd...but this one just broke my heart. I love Emily and Eric and just hated to see them break up! Hope the third is better....is it winter yet?

I give this one 4 stars instead of 5, only because of my disappoint in Eric and the fact that the story is going in the direction it is going. I understand that other characters need to brought in to allow the story to flow- however I love Eric and Emily and want my happily ever after :)

This is the second book in the series. Eric and Emily are engaged, but separated for almost the whole book. Eric is playing football at college and it seems to be changing him. Emily is going to school at home with her mom and taking care of baby Emma. Eric and Emily are growing further and further apart.

Enter Alex. Art curator at the museum, late 20's, handsome, rich and polite. Everything Eric is not (except handsome). They agree to be friends, but of course, it's more from the start. I didn't really like that Alex pursued her knowing she was engaged. I get things were rocky, but there was a child involved. I couldn't say I disliked Alex because there wasn't anything to dislike, in fact, he was too good to be true.

Need to read the next book to see who she winds up with.

Badly written. Extremely badly. Wooden conversations. Emotions are not felt. Immature characters - as in, not developed well and lacking emotion and childish reactions.

WOrst of all is it needs more editing and proof reading more than any book i've ever read. Normally I can over look it, but this was BAD.

Again, the same as the first book, I read this in a day. I really am enjoying the series and I can’t wait to see the way that Emily’s life pans out. The writing is a bit naff, and that’s probably the only thing that really annoys me about the book.

John’s has brought me into the influence of the characters and it feels as though you’re getting to know them. I feel like Emily is wasting her time with Alex, and they really annoy me together, she seems to be falling for him and it’s a waste in my opinion. I’m literally rooting for her and Eric to get back together and I’m hoping that her and Alex don’t work out. He just seems ‘too good to be true’, as she keeps on saying, and I really do not want them together. The author has genuinely pulled me into the characters and has me hooked.

Eric – he may be an idiot, and he may be annoying to many of us just because of the way he acts, but I genuinely feel like that is what Mellissa wants us to feel about him. She wants us to hate him but love him at the same time, and that’s the feeling I get when I read about Eric. He’s annoying but he’s also just a guy, and as we’ve always been told about sportsmen, they’ve got ladies flaunting all over them, and therefore he seems to be just a typical guy. We can feel by just the way that John’s has written this, that he is genuinely heart broken and upset by what he did to Emily, and he wants to make her feel better about it and he wants to make amends, and that’s why I do not like Alex. He seems to have just come out of nowhere, when Eric is trying to make amends, but Alex is too busy in the way. Emily also annoys me a bit in this book because we know that she wants to forgive Eric for what he did, and we know that she loves him, otherwise she wouldn’t be always be thinking about him and she wouldn’t always be wanting to speak to him or crying over him. She would be hurt by what had happened, but she wouldn’t be crying and I think that portrays a great part of this book. Emma is the sweetest wee girl, she seems like someone you just want to wrap up cosy and never let go of.

I really really loved the way that John’s has portrayed all of the characters, and I can’t wait to read the next book to see where this love story ends up.

Much improved from the first. I like how the author made the characters grow from high school and now college and have their problems grow accordingly. The dialogue still bothered me but now that I got a little invested in the characters...doesn't bother me that as much as it did in the first book.

It's sad to say that the conflict and the aspect of the book is what made the book more interesting. I understood why it had to happen...Eric and Emily are facing increased pressure from their new "situation" and even strong people have folded from it.

But still...Eric

You acted like a dick but, instead of manning up, you also decided to act like a 10 year old. You deserve what you get. Quite frankly my inner crazy person was yelling for Emily to

Thank goodness that I put that insane person back in her cage where she belongs.

This book was meatier than book 1 but still had similar issues with editing & word & grammar errors. The story line was interesting and intense at times, I loved the characters and I loved the maturity and the love that they felt for one another. Emily was sometimes a whiner but Eric did give her reason at times to be that way. Then comes Alex. He was hard to resist, especially considering the circumstances that Eric had put her through. Most girls Emily's age would have just suffered through the pain but she didn't, she decided she needed to figure out where she stood and what she wanted in life. I was sad at the end of the book and hoping book 3 will be happy.

Emily and Eric discovering life together being newly engaged and having a baby. But Eric turns out to be a cheater and it almost destroys Emily but you meet and fall in love with a new man (Alex). What will happen next??? You get so torned between the two men. You want to love Eric and try to understand but yet you has Alex who seems like the right person for Emily.

Omg I'm totally in love with Alex. I totally think Emily should be with him instead of eric. But first loved are hard to die especially with a child. I really do hope they end up together but I'm sure they don't. I love Alex and Emily. So cute. I love this trilogy. It has lots of roller coasters. But keeps you guessing.

There was a lot of errors in this book, more than the first. And time flew by way too fast, four years went by in less than a third of the book. It felt rushed. I will read the next book because I want to know how it finishes, but I'm not overly impressed with the writing.

Really?! How many times can one person mess up a really good thing?! Regardless of the pressure Eric felt you'd think he wouldn't give into temptation...but at the first sign of it he took it. Really disappointed in him and am so glad that Alex is in the picture now;)
