I've read its 2nd edition. It was O.K.. However, I didn't like the way the eastern countries were advertised in some passages of the book. It was all about the Asian places and people and nothing about other countries or cultures. There was only one page in which the American Baseball was described as "dull" and "boring" and south American people were described as unfriendly people during baseball games.I don't have anything against Asian people (most of my friends are Asians) and I am not saying that they shouldn't be mentioned in some chapters of the book but I believe that such kinds of advertisements are suitable for tourism and travel books. I'm not surprised about how this book has turned out since more than half of the book's editors are Chinese and Japanese. That's kind of racist... Now how about this? I'm gonna gather some people from my own country and write an English teaching book advertising our own culture and country while criticizing other cultures and people especially Asians. How would that make them feel?
