Finally finished reading THE VIRTUALS by Anupam sir today and could not wait to express my feelings. This is what I posted on Facebook
I picked this novel just because it was written by my favorite story-teller. I had a very high expectations but this novel surpassed them. In fact, it is comparable to western novels I'm addicted to.
It has a fleet of very strong characters and amazing, amazing situations. The thing I loved most was the waves of suspense throughout the book with most startling revelation saved for the end. The novel has some very strong graphical depictions which are natural when Anupam sir is writing it! The novel has no lengthy and boring descriptions and conversations are very pointed. I felt like watching a movie in my mind.
I strongly recommend this book to all readers, especially Indians, to have a feel that what happens when high pitched Indian emotions are entwined with a pure fantasy with western touch. Thank you for such a good read, sir!
