Mr. Parece continues to thrill in the 3rd installment of the Cor Chronicles. I am so excited to finally finish the 3rd book and I can't wait to dive into the last two of this series.
In Darkness and Steel, Cor continues to impress and grow in his journey. Thyss still remains my number one favorite character and I will always say that she needs her own book. I love the attention to detail and little hints here and there at a world that existed before this one. Along with the thrilling and detailed action sequences, I love that relatable life instances have been included to make the story that much better.
I cannot say how excited I am to find out what these characters will find and/or battle in the next two books because when I was reading these first three I did not want to put them down. These books have given me a new motivation to keep up my reading habit, it's like I am back in school again and have the time to. Except now I make a point to make the time to sit down and read.
If you like a little Sci-fi mixed with Fantasy (at least that's how I am reading them), then you will love these books. I love them so much so far, that I have made a point to share them on my social media pages.
Cheers to another great read! 11/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone.
Lots of pointers to the story behind the story Really big pointers in this book. Overall good reading experience. No cliff hangers. Just foreshadow or obvious pointing to the last book! Yes I have already bought it along with this one when I was part way through 2nd book! Really nice to know the whole series is out and can read back to back if You chose!
Solid edition to the Cor Chronicles..we see more from the "Gods" in this one. I for one think I can see the plan Dahk has for his chosen warrior, Cor.
The action scenes in this one are still top notch, and the use of the various POVs works so well. The people of the Shining West are finally seeing the Dahken for what they are...
Moves along at a good pace with enough twists to keep it interesting. The overall premise isn't that new but, some of the questions raised may be a little unsettling for the enthusiastically religious(not just Christians). Good writing style. I hope this author keeps it up.
