Me encanta leer estas adaptaciones de Eyewitness después de leer el texto original. Tienen unas ilustración impresionantes y un montón de contexto cultural para ponerte en antecedentes sobre el momento y el lugar en el que se ambienta el texto. No sé mucho de Transilvania y he aprendido bastantes cosillas de sus habitantes con este libro.
Al resumir un libro de 500 páginas en uno de 60 con ilustraciones, obviamente la historia se resume mucho, pero el autor utiliza todo lo que puede las palabras de Bram Stoker y eso me gusta mucho. Muy fan de esta colección.

Very nicely done. Instead of writing a dumbed-down text for kids, this editorial team led by Marie Greenwood provided excerpts from Bram Stoker's actual book. Each spread's margins are filled with Eyewitness series' signature informational vignettes about vampires throughout history. Tudor Humphries' illustrations take the center of the layout, usually reserved in an Eyewitness book for a big full-color photo. These illustrated scenes are more in a corresponding relationship (1-1) with the words than complementary (adding a narrative of their own), but Humphries captures a kind of Hammer-films gothic horror look that does not come completely from the words.

I watch the 1931 film with Bela Lugosi every Halloween, and the Werner Herzog 1979 version of Nosferatu. This book was a nice teaser!
