This issue opens with Shinogi Kureha curing Doppo Orochi from a severely injured state, he does this by reaching into his torso and manually pumping his heart.
description
After this Baki is greeted by a mob of people when preparing for his upcoming fight with Dr. Kureha. It's quickly established Dr. Kureha made his fortune by experimenting on innocent people leaving them in a damaged state, missing limbs or other organs. It is also established that he has experimented on himself to increase his physical prowess. (Dr. Kureha is on the sauce lol)
description
Upon entering the underground arena Dr. Kureha performs many feats of strength including blowing up a water pillow with only oxygen from his lungs and pulling apart a tire. Dr. Kureha has shown himself to be a monster of a man and a more than formattable foe, will Baki be able to survive the onslaught of Shinogi Kureha's attack and defeat him in battle?

These latest volumes are showcasing my favorite type-a-stuff. A story that’s started with cold pride and ends with warm compassion…

So this chapter shows us how doctors are as wimpy and frail as they look.

My jokings aside, I was actually interested in this fight as Kureha's introduction was quite fascinating.
He might be a very good doctor and sacrifced many things to obtain the most powerful body in the world. But c'mon, he has the fighting experience... well of a frail and wimpy doctor.

Baki's resolve and genius in fighting gets him trhough the fight. However, despite his victory, it's quite clear that Baki still has a long way to go before he can reach the Ogre's level of power.

Another great fight, Baki is still a long way off from his father, I’m interested to see how he closes that gap

It was a satisfying end to the saga. Now, wonder what lies ahead. Baki is nowhere near the strength of his father. He can only dream of fighting against him, let alone live through that. Guess next few sagas will be about training and leveling up of Baki.
