Wade Summers is a decent guy and not to blame for a ghost taking advantage of his body at will. All his attempts to escape it have failed. Despite being unorthodox, he enjoys the visitations far too much to complain. While his body gets sated, his soul longs for his enigmatic lover. The utter hopelessness of the situation threatens to send him over the edge.

In 2022, erotic dreams and déjà vu of a gorgeous man are driving Michael Turner insane. A strange old man convinces him he'd let Mr Right slip through his fingers. Michael desperately tries to figure out when he had missed the man in his dreams. He would stop at nothing to return to his destiny.

My life growing up was pretty dull until I sneaked off with one of my mom's romance books and a whole new world opened up.

Always a romantic at heart, the desire to write my own happily-ever-afters never waned. In early 2012 I took the bull by the horns and wrote my first short story. The publishers liked it and the rest as they say is history.

Some of my hobbies include racquet sports, reading and lusting after drool-worthy cars and motorbikes. Late at night I dream up gorgeous men and exciting plots to bring them to life.

Wade keeps having sex in 2012. Now that wouldn't be anything unusual or in need of mention if it wasn't that he was having sex by himself. Ok, that wouldn't be worth mentioning either, except he's alone when he gets off, but not really by himself.
Yes, yes, I know, right now you are thinking, Mandy, what on earth are you talking about?
Anyways..poor Wade feels another man/ghost/being, he feels the kisses, the touches and smells him and can sort of even hear a bit but that's it. He can't see him or touch him back, but he comes, boy does he. And mystery lover doesn't seem to care where Wade is when he launches his sensual attacks. That was funny, well maybe not for Wade, but still.

I like paranormal stories, I like the touch of different doesn't matter whether it's shifters, time travel, ghosts, magic, I am always intrigued.
So this one hit on that but it was more of a 'second chances' than time travel to me.
Michael is in the year 2022 and very unhappy and mostly of his own making.
I'm not going to give any more details, since you need to read it and see for yourself, I do wish this had been longer though.
There is a lot of sex (yum) for such a short, not that I'm complaining, but although the MCs have contact ( ha, full body contact) before they 'meet' and I realize they develope an attraction and I guess an affection for each other, I missed really seeing that develop between them. When they finally come together it's more of a fait de complet and makes it feel more like insta love than it really should. I wanted to see where the love/feelings come from besides the physical, which wasn't even corporal.
I think a few more pages in the beginning with them somehow connecting despite the time difference and maybe a little bit after...
I loved the idea of the story, and it's well told, I guess because I liked the whole premise of the story so much ,I wanted more of it and to really see these guys longing and wanting and fighting for each other and their love.

Wow, I absolutely loved this story! Return to Destiny is an erotic fantasy about a man who's able to travel back in time to rewrite his destiny. Realizing his life has detoured after a series of poor decisions, Michael is troubled by a sequence of very vivid sexual dreams. Additionally, he's experiencing bouts of deja vu.

Simultaneously, ten years prior, Wade is also having some incredible sexual experiences of his own, only these experiences are happening while he's fully awake. He has no control over them, however, and he begins to think he has a phantom or ghost lover.

This perplexing mystery is something only Michael can solve, and with the help of a local merchant who owns a rather unique bookstore, he pieces together what has happened and learns what he needs to do to fix the problem.

It's been awhile since I've read sex that was so incredibly hot. Not only was it steamy, but it was sensual, and at times even funny. I laughed right out loud more than once during the phantom scenes, and I was very touched when at last the couple was united and consummated their relationship in real time.

The story is original, clever, and very well crafted. This is the first book I've read by this author, but it certainly won't be the last.

I have to say this was one of the best stories I've read in a long time. A fantasy in fairy tale style. A world where true love and time travel allow us to make corrections to lives lived in error and unhappiness. To see miserable characters who know they've mess up and missed their opportunity for true love and yet desire it so much as to be willing to do almost anything to retrieve that chance, to go back and make right what they did wrong. It swept me away.

This was well thought out and well written. Michael is a strong character and his willingness to recognize his own failings and grow beyond them to do what is necessary to make things right drew me in. I love the fact that these characters were flawed. They aren't perfect men with perfect hair and perfect bodies. They are men with issues, pasts that make them who they are. Wade is loving and caring, but a man in a shell. Afraid to make connections because they've gone bad before. Both men grown and evolve to make things right in this story where love conquers all, even time.

This story was heart wrenching and leaves you with the wonderful warm glow at the end. I'd recommend this to anyone who loves a good romance and a fairy tale ending of happily ever after. Well done and I expect more great stories from this author.

Review posted at The Armchair Reader.

I have to admit that I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with time travel stories. I find that I don't like them more than I do like them, and I think it's because I have a hard time suspending disbelief in able to enjoy the story. And while I didn't love this story (but did like it), it had nothing to do with the time travel. In that regard, I found it mostly well done.

I usually find myself not liking the story because things just don't… add up, in the details of the time travel. Here, many of those details are purposefully left out of this story, which worked for me because I didn't feel such a large disconnect. The way that the time travel scenario is set up is done in a way I could understand, a second chances theme, and while I did find a few of the extraneous details pertaining to the logistics of it somewhat strange (I could have done without them altogether -- like, the eye?), for the most part that didn't bother me.

The part that worked well for me was the relationship and the sex. The story starts with Wade in 2012, who had a phantom/ghost lover of sorts. An invisible man seems to engage his body without his prior warning or consent and he finds that he loves and hates it. We soon learn that Michael, in 2022, is having a similar phenomena, but only in his dreams of his phantom lover, a man he doesn't know and can't remember upon waking. The unique situation soon becomes entwined in the desperation of Michael's life and past regrets, and the addition of an old Chinese man with a store full of strange artifacts sheds light on how to change his life.

I found that what worked best for me with this story was the relationship and the sex. From the very beginning the story is very sexually charged. While there's little to no relationship between the characters -- after all, that's the only way they can connect -- Michael's POV soon sheds light on how they're connected between time. The sexual chemistry was immediately steamy and brought me quickly into the story. Where I felt the story failed in some respects was the easy wrap-up. We see Wade and Michael together in the same time very, very little and most of that is taken up by sex. Once together they act as if there's no impediment in their relationship and they've been together for years. I couldn't quite connect how a few months of a strange sexual connection (when they didn't know it was the other) could immediately translate into a happy, healthy and established relationship. So in that respect, this seemed very much like insta-love to me.

Still, I enjoyed the story and I'm looking forward to reading more of this author's work in the future.

Short, Sexy and STEAMY! Return to Destiny is an erotic novella about time travel and true love.

Wade Summers lives in the present day, 2012 to be exact. As of late he’s suffering from what he has come to call ‘episodes’ where a seemingly invisible man does with his body what he will, resulting in the most satisfying sexual experiences of his life. These episodes happen when he’s fully awake, and usually at the most inopportune moments.

Michael Turner lives in the future, 2022 to be exact. He’s unemployed, lonely and confused. He has memories of dreams, remembering shadows of a man. It’s while he’s at a local bookstore he meets Li, the owner, who gives him a book that may offer a solution. Michael will have to search within himself to remember that moment in his past where he destroyed his future.

This book had passion, sensuality, steamy sex and even some comic relief. With the help of Li, Michael figures out who he left in the past, and therefore, who is meant to be his future. I loved Wade identified him by his unique smell and touch, he recognized these things from their encounters, having never seen Michael’s face. If you’re looking for a quick, fun read with some fantastic hot man sex and a HEA.. this is the book for you!

Wade Summers and Michael Turner are meant to be together but a mistake made in 2012 tore the two apart. Now Michael lives in a future 2022 where nothing appears to go right and he is miserably alone. Wade who lives in 2012 is visited by a strange man who he cannot see or touch but gives him pleasure and longing like he has never known.
Vona Logan's writing style is light-hearted and fast paced from the beginning. There is not a dull moment from page one to the end and has some amazing sex scenes throughout the entire story. This incredible author will have you turning the page in hopes of Michael and Wade finding a way to be together at last.
One of my favorite characters is Li, the old Chinese owner of a book shop and amazing supporting character. Li grew on me more and more as the story progressed and he never pulled my attention away from Wade and Michael's growing love story. Although the story is short and I was sad to see it end so quickly I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a passionate time travel story between two hot men.

I literally sat through this book from start to finish. I liked Logan's last one, Rock Hard, but this one was even better.

I hadn't read the blurb, as I got this book as a gift and decided to just read it without knowing. That may have been why I sat on the edge of my seat, not knowing why things were happening the way they were. All I can say that this story works very well if you haven't read the blurb and want a nice surprise.

The writing is excellent, the plot and twists original and fresh, and the characters were great (even Li).

Vona Logan is climbing my list of favorite authors fast and I'm looking forward to her next release.

This was an odd kind of time travel story. Both Wade and Michael were having weird sexual experiences when they were alone. Michael is ten years in the future but finds a way back to Wade. I would have enjoyed this story if Michael didn't take the chancy time trip back just for sex. I also found the characters to be fairly dull and one dimensional.

Silly time-travel MM romance.

The time travel takes place between 2012 and 2022!

Michael is broke, alone and miserable in 2022. Wade is having strange sexual encounters in 2012. The two met briefly in 2012, but Michael went home with the wrong guy. After visiting a Chinese doctor, Michael decides to travel back in time - so that he can go home with Wade - using a very painful process developed by the doctor.

All I kept thinking was - why time travel…why not just google search Wade (or do whatever we will be doing in 2022) and try to hook up in 2022? Also what if Wade is happily settled in 2022 and does not want his path changed? Maybe I am over thinking this…..
