The story of an actor, Randy Nelson, who's pretty much a whore. He gives the use of his body to whoever can advance his career. Although he doesn't really consider himself bisexual, it's a bisexual book. He seems to have no morality, which is unusual in the books of this period (the mid-sixties) that I've read. Most of the ones I've read (e.g. I'm For Hire and Never Too Young) have been very sex-negative. This one is not (unless it's in a more subtle way), and I don't much care for it. At least he's nice to most of his various partners. There's also a murder plot. The author either rewrote this as a gay pulp novel one year later, Hollywood Homo, or he just reused the main character's name and wrote a similar opening passage. Weird. Cover has nothing to do with the plot.
