I really wanted something to read each night before bed, something that would give me a small window to think on. First, the print is in pink so it's very difficult to read in any sort of low light setting, i.e., by lamplight. Second, while the single page set up is nice, the stories on each page are typically quite silly. Yes, this is supposed to be women focused, but many of the lessons were odd. Also, several lessons were repeated, and literally page by page. So you would read about the wearing "clothes" and the next page is "perfume". I really wish this would have been better. I found myself skimming the paragraphs and only reading the Lord's word and the prayers at the end of each page.... obviously not what is intended here. It should make you want to meditate over the words. Moving on to my next nightly book though, and hopefully it is better.
Such a great book to throw in your purse or bring on a trip so that you can still have some time with Jesus no matter where you are or what you’re busy doing! Some beautiful insights, ideas and things to think/pray about. I highly recommend this as well as the Families version. (We read that one over dinner each evening.)
Very poor color choice for the text. Light peach and light blue letters did not show up well and made the devotions difficult to read. The devotions themselves were mediocre. I always read two or three devotions each morning from various sources and have been doing this for years. These were not very inspirational or interesting. I did like the short prayers at the bottom of each page.
I loved reading this book daily. It was a really nice way to start the day and end the day. If I can't find another I like as much, I might actually read through this one over and over to keep up this daily routine.
