'Tis darling, of course, and Wilde is one of the wittiest and most wonderful writers that has ever lived. However, none of the quotes have sources so hot have no idea where they came from and I'm not in doubt that some of them are mis-attributes or at least mis-quoted. It's just a fun little book that looks adorable on a shelf.

However, it should have been green since that was Oscar's favourite colour.

After reading The Picture of Dorian Gray last year, I decided to buy this beautiful little book. And I'm not disappointed in it at all, as I absolutely loved it! It has definitely urged me to read his other works

As advertised this book is a very short collection of some of Oscar Wilde’s witty remarks and thoughts. This book is super tiny and cute, I gifted it to my niece after I read it because it makes a perfect gift and is very easy to read. I absolutely loved the fact that the book ended with The Nightingale and the Rose, which clearly is meant to inspire you to pick up the full length works of Oscar Wilde. I believe the editors accomplished exactly what they set out to achieve when putting together this collection.

It was thanks to this lovely little book that I finally came across Wilde’s poetry, which unfortunately is not nearly as well known as his plays. I’ve come to find that in spite of it not being very popular, it is certainly gorgeous, even bewitching. Do yourself a favour and read his poem titled “Her Voice.”

It’s amazing how such a cute little book can bring up so much excitement and emotion. I read it all at once, and the short story at the end ‘The Nightingale and the Rose’ was absolutely the perfect way to finish. I can’t wait to keep this in my pocket and take it out for little nuggets of inspiration during a slow lonely day.

Really enjoyable selection of quotes and the biography of Oscar Wilde with a addition of a poem and short heartbreaking story of a nightingale dying to create a rose for her human neighbour to give to a object of his affection who in turn didn’t love him and then he discards the rose. Other than that worth a read

This book is a collection of Oscar Wilde quotes and also contains a poem and a short story at the end. Oscar Wilde has come up with some brilliant quotes, the poem, and the short story was also excellent.

with a biography and selection of poetry and short stories this book still finds space from some of Wilde's more witty and acerbic lines from his books and correspondence

4.5 Really good book with cute quotes and pictures, and includes one of the saddest stories I have ever read, and may read to my future children as a lesson.
Cute cover also.

Some quotes feel off to me but maybe that's just because I don't know the context. But damn that story of The Nightingale and The Rose is heartwrenching.

Sometimes I feel like Mr. Wilde doesn't know what he's talking about.
